  2. Are we sure he's not just resting Jonas?

I love Jonas as much as anyone else, but he's played a lot since coming back from injury - best to protect a player of his calibre.  Give him the second half, and play Zoggy on the left just to see how it works out.

Kinnear out cause he's resting Jonas?  Chill out, guys lol.

Hasnt played as much as his lover Duff.

Plus he is our most creative player.

Agreed, he is our most creative player.  But Duff didn't break a collar bone during the start of the season.  Last thing I want to see is Jonas have to go under the knife like Martins (an injury I attribute to his over-playing while others were injured, personally).

I know what you mean, but lets not forget this is a huge game for us and we are in a relegation battle, surely get the points before resting out best players?

I guess Kinnear thinks N'Zogbia can suffice.  I hope he's right, cause I want Jonas fit and fighting for the derby, and we really need him for the home games against Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea if we have any hope of a draw.

  4. What do we need to do?

    1) Implement a working management structure.  Manager should be in charge, given funds, Keegan-style, though I'm not saying we need Keegan back.

    2) There is no need, yet, to sack Kinnear.  He's been asked to construct the Empire State Building with sand.

    3) Move training ground - get these injuries sorted!

    4) Reassess with a stable, powerful manager, funds and a decent squad.

  5. I have a season ticket, but I'm done being a fan of this club.  It's become a farce.  I will continue to attend games because the players who have to wear the shirt deserve support.  But that's it.  The club is rotten to the core.

Championship Football would at least force a total rethink of the club.  But it would hurt us for decades, and will see the end of any hope of Newcastle attaining European football in the coming years.  It's sad.  It's really f**king sad.

  6. Sounds like Enrique, Taylor and Carrol are out.

Unlikely Xisco will be given a chance... if that's the case rather then playing Duff up top tomorrow I wouldn't mind seeing Gutierrez be given a role off of Owen making runs either side of him could work well.

                             Given

                    Coloccini   Bassong

       Geremi                                 Kader

                     Guthrie   Butt

           Duff        Gutierrez      N'Zogbia

                            Owen

BBC list Geremi as being out too.

  7. Can't wait to see  BBC's squad summary.

    Newcastle (from): Given, Coloccini, Owen

Hull (from): Myhill, Ricketts, Turner, Zayatte, McShane, Garcia, Ashbee, Boateng, Barmby, Geovanni, King, Fagan, Cousin, Halmosi, Folan, Mendy, Marney, Featherstone, Doyle, France, Giannakopoulos, Duke, Warner.

What an absolute joke. Let's try fielding an injured team:

                       AMEOBI

    BEYE   TAYLOR   CACAPA   ENRIQUE

    GONZALEZ  BARTON  SMITH  MARTINS

                 CARROLL  VIDUKA

  8. From the BBC Gossip section:

As he bids to bring new players in during the January transfer window, Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear says he has "a full scout force [out there] and they are on red alert, going to various parts of the world".

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To put up tents, sit round campfires, tie knots and sing "Ging Gang Goolly"!

Why aren't the scout force out there during the rest of the year, and then line deals up to COMPLETE in the transfer window?

What are our scouts paid for the rest of the year?  To sit in their mansions and sing "Ging Gang Goolly", possibly.

  9. This is a f*cking farce :colo:

May be back this weekend, might not need the op afterall.

He's going for the operation on Monday mate.

"Sources close to the player have revealed that he has been booked in for a hernia operation later in the week if, as expected, he is not ready for a return."

Looks like they're gonna play it by ear tomorrow first.
