absolutely this. there’s no way he’ll be getting dropped. I’m not a fan of his by any stretch, but it’s fair to say he’s improved under Howe. Bruno will be taking the Longstaff/Willock slot. Lascelles is the interesting one. he should be getting benched for Burn, but I can’t see that happening either. hopefully we’re pleasantly surprised!

it's not the most glamorous signing, but could be a very shrewd one - a proven PL defender for peanuts. we're not exactly blessed with depth at CB, and he's arguably better than anything else we've got. get him straight in the team this season, then most likely a reliable/versatile back up next season. assuming we stay up, that is. incremental improvements like Burn and Wood are going to be essential in getting us to where we want to go, people need to get used to it.
