ASM was the one player I really wanted to see playing with better players post-takeover. I hope he stays, he’s been inconsistent but the few highs we’ve seen dwarf most of his contemporaries.

Never bought a Wonga shirt, thought the Puma shirts were pretty awful in the main. Whilst I hate the tackiness of shonky gambling sponsors I have bought the last two Castore shirts.

There's also the asterisk that Shearer scored 23 before it was named PL.
Or the 357 that Jimmy Greaves scored.

Good luck to Wood, he seems like a solid bloke and there’s no doubting his commitment. I really don’t think he was an effective player for us though. His ability to hold the ball up and be that ‘target man/focal point’ was vastly overated as was his heading ability. He huffed and puffed, lots of perspiration and not much inspiration.

Championship looks tasty next season.

It is a bit unfair to dump on Arsenal considering City just blow everyone else out of the water by hoovering up the best players across the world. Not sure Arsenal's form has even fallen off that much, just City are winning just about every game like they seem to in the run in every season.
Are City really ‘hoovering up the best players across the world’? They’ve got a great squad and have strength in depth but there’s plenty of great players to go around and lots of other teams have spent a lot of money. Are we ignoring the ‘Pep effect’ here?

This is fucking hilarious, fuck Arsenal. We’ll beat Brighton and they’ll drop other points too. Not worried about them.
-
How have we done this season in the dark blue away shirt? Feels like we’ve been fairly successful. I’m becoming increasingly superstitious as the season goes on.
-
As hilarious as Everton getting relegated would be we do need Brighton to drop some points. Everton are already being punished by having Dyche in charge next season.
-
Can’t help but like Rice, comes across really well when interviewed.
-
Best result for us.
-
Need BHA to win this one. They’ll drop points elsewhere.
-
Ok, after some reflection I think we need 4 points from Arsenal/Leeds and 3 points from Brighton/Leicester. We won’t lose to Arsenal and despite Fat Sam’s reprise and Leeds bluster we are far too good for them. Either way I see us beating Chelsea last game of the season too a bit like the Fulham Rafa game.

Rather have an up and coming player from one of the Euro leagues for 30-40m.

I know I shouldn’t be but I’m shocked at how poor Leicester have been.

Our GD can definitely be caught, so 2 wins and a draw, ideally in the next 4 to wrap it up before Chelsea away.
Only if we stop scoring altogether, we’ve hit 13 in three games, would need a huge swing.

Just about, another win and a couple of draws I think. LiVARpool will drop points.
-
Villa out, a draw or a Spurs win will do next.

Almost but didn’t - a wins a win, we couldn’t beat Leeds at our place yet Liverpool smashed them 6 - 1 at theirs. I hope you’re right but Liverpool have their backs up and personally I can’t see Brentford or Fulham getting anything - Villa however is a different beast.
They’re riding their luck, that doesn’t last for 5/6/7 game stretches. They were very lucky against West Ham. We win today and Liverpool are done.

Re-run after yesterday’s results (no GD changes built in) - will be interesting to see how it changed when today’s games get plugged in. It looks really tight but that’s because I’ve got Liverpool winning every game. Any slip and we get breathing room.
Gone for draw In Bournemouth v Leeds, home wins for us, Liverpool, Man Utd and away win for Citeh.
Highly unlikely that Liverpool win all of their remaining games. If they had that in them they’d already be firmly top 4.

Great great night. I’m still convinced we’ll need the 72 points though. 3 more wins and a draw.
I’ve thought 71 but looks like 70 will do. In reality, we may not even need that many.

So close now, beat Southampton and we are within spitting distance. The others are getting close to needing 100% record in the run in.
