Pep is obviously a fantastic manager but no other manager in the world has been able to have a blank cheque book every year to try and fix their defence
I'm not even sure they were going to sign Dias if they hadn't got thrashed by Leicester earlier in the season
In reserve tonight he had Cancelo, Laporte, Ake and Mendy. A whole back 4 of players who cost north of £40mil. Luxuries no other manager has had
They were heavily linked with Dias before the Leicester game so that signing was always going to happen
They were after 2 CB's, 1 to replace Kompany and 1 to replace Otamendi
Pep clearly wants two top players for every position and he has that luxury of being supported by the owners

Poch should be controlling his players like, doesn't strike me as the kind of manager that would approve of this

These tackles are a joke

Don’t see Chelsea or Real coping with them if they play with this level of intensity.
Tbf Chelsea nullified them quite well in the FA Cup
Though it probably wasn't their starting lineup

PSG are losing it

Going to be a bit shit if Man City win here and either Chelsea or Real Madrid beat them in the final.
They need to get to the final first
Don't think this tie is quite over

What on earth did the ref see?
He clearly allowed the PSG shouts influence him

could definitely happen, but i dont see sheff utd beating us.
Yeah, it would take quite something for it to work out like that
Hopefully we can grab something tomorrow to dash any glimmer of hope they might have

That'll be fun. 2023 Prem, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 10th qualify for the Champions League. 13th and you're in the Europa. So stupid
Exactly, would make an absolute mockery of the Premier League
Better to kick these clubs out, whilst the standard might drop as would revenues but long term the league would be better for it
Those clubs need the domestic league more than they realise, I just hope the PL and others are willing to go as far as expulsion otherwise those clubs will take advantage and football overall will be worse off

Premier League and UEFA have to stand firm and stick to what they were reporting earlier. The government also needs to continue the pressure. By allowing these greedy fuckers to get their way, will ruin the principle of competitive football forever. They have broken the FA and Premier League rules and can’t be allowed to get away with it.
Agreed, the next step from the PL and UEFA is huge, anything other than a zero tolerance approach and we know those clubs have basically won
The CL adopting the Swiss model was bad enough but this is on a whole new level

What would be their plan if everyone was just like "oh ok, sure, Sounds good. Go ahead" ?
Play Premier League on Saturday and then "european league" midweek? Champions League would be scrapped? What about Europa League? What if Man Utd qualified for Europa league through the Prem, then had to play Prem sat, Euro league Tue, Europa league thurs?
I'm so confused with this "plan"
Or maybe those "big" 6 teams don't take part in the CL or EL? In which case what would be the point of even being in the Prem? They might as well leave anyway. No scenario sounds even remotely good.
In that scenario Man-U obviously wouldn't play Europa League, it would be PL on the weekends and then the European Super League mid-week
Where they finish in the Premier League will be irrelevant as they will be guaranteed a place in the European Super League
I suspect the idea is that these clubs want the European Super League to take place and to continue playing domestically. They aren't concerned with what UEFA do with the CL or Europa League
I think best case scenario for them is they get what they want, the ESL and to continue in the PL, worst case scenario is they'll remain in the CL but will get more power (so one or several bad seasons doesn't keep them out of the CL) and more money

Mendy is poor
Poor on the ball and concedes silly fouls, not sure how he and Sterling have played the 90 mins

Usually rate Sterling as one of the best in the league and the best English player alongside Kane, but my goodness he is so shit at the moment
He's been awful today, surprised he hasn't been taken off yet

City look limp as fuck, no zest or energy about them.
Huge couple of weeks for them, could go from potential quadruple to only the title maybe in such a short space of time

Chelsea deservedly take the lead
-
Chelsea already gotten behind City a couple of times already
-
I fancy Chelsea to win this

I think this is Man City's season to win the Champions League.
I think PSG knock them out, don't think having the league cup final just days before the first leg helps at all
-
Anyone know which website allows you to see team win/loss with and without certain players?
-
Charlton doing them again in the play-offs would be amazing

I stand corrected, but yes, I think they will lose a couple more games. Man Utd’s only real test is against Liverpool. It’s a tall ask but not quite the impossible one you’d have thought just a few weeks ago.
Certainly worth a tenner punt at those prices
I do think City have a couple of more defeats in them, especially with Pep clearly focusing on the CL and FA Cup
Can Man-U win all their remaining games though?
Other games (2021/22)
