Assuming they did get the upper end of those guesstimate valuations, they'd need to completely rebuild their squad - it probably needs some major surgery anyway, and I don't see much appetite from their current owners to gamble in that way.

Was wondering how much their whole club was worth - I'd guess maybe £100m? That's for a club treading water and making losses, where an extended period out of the PL makes you fall off the face of the earth media-coverage wise, and where their upper limits in my lifetime were the Peter Reid days.

Which was still unsustainable, in an area generally in decline and without the money in the fanbase to increase gates to the level they can compete with. Not to mention the dreaded North sea.

They seem locked into where they are right now, like a lot of other similar clubs. And with the barriers to getting that high again seemingly so huge, I'm not sure it's worth anyone pumping money in.

A huge reliance on their academy then, and maybe a couple of lucky play-offs, to get them a season or two in the PL with the hope of parachute money to give them a chance of being a perennial yo-yo club. Pretty dispiriting really.

I don't think I'm being overly negative towards them there either.

Not a chance they are worth that much

If they were a Premier League club then yes because the TV money would justify that valuation

However they are very much a bang average championship side who don't generate a huge amount of money

  2. Tonight's game is huge, I'd actually take a draw if it was offered right now as that keeps Man U a point behind and I don't see them beating Arsenal. At best they might fluke a draw against Arsenal but assuming we beat Brighton we would go into the game at Old Trafford 3 points ahead and a significantly superior goal difference

Think Man U are the weakest of the 4 atm.

Droppoing points here and against us would seal ETH exit. Maybe even 1 dropped result will be enough.

Ten Hag will be gone regardless, don't think even a jammy FA Cup final win saves him

  4. Technically nothing he's done has surprised me, saw enough in his short stints at Chelsea to see he has technical ability but the area of his game that has impressed me is aerially, been pleasantly surprised by how well he's done dealing with that part of the game

Not if City play the way they did today. I do agree though, most likely not catching them.

True but that is a very strange fixture, regardless of form/performance Spurs just have their number

Although, would be a strange game in that majority of the crowd will be wanting Spurs to drop points

That aside, 6 points from Burnley/Sheff Utd and that puts them beyond reach

5th is still a good possibility, if you've watched spurs much recently they are honking. I fully expect Liverpool to give them a thrashing tomorrow. We can dream at least, 5th would be insane giving what we have gone through this season with injuries.

Catching Spurs is very unlikely, they have Burnley and Sheff Utd to play which is pretty much 6 points

Plus they have a great record against City so wouldn't be surprised to see them get a draw in that game

  7. Since Howe has been here Krafth has mostly been solid, had the odd game where he's been poor but those games are the exception

He's pretty good considering he's 3rd choice RB and RCB
