  1. He's a local Spurs boy, funnily enough.

  3. Only about half my players even set foot on the pitch. Awful week.
  4. I've got to be honest, I knew what was alleged to have happened but couldn't believe that a cover up on the scale that it had happened was possible. I didn't take the side of the police because I knew what they were like but I didn't for one minute think that the cover up of those proportions was possible in this country and I was wrong. I came at it from the other angle. As a fan at the time, I knew full well that what happened was possible - and inevitable, given prevailing attitudes. As such, I just felt there had to have been a cover-up. It just logically followed. I think it's impossible to convey to people who weren't around at the time how football fans were viewed by many, and not just those in power.
  5. I feel like we've hit the woodwork an unbelievable number of times over the last few weeks.
  6. You'd just walk off the pitch and into the sunset. "My work here is done."
  7. Thought about Long instead of Pelle. Went for Pelle, naturally.
  8. Please tell me you don't actually believe that? You don't think they might just prefer to come to Spurs? I posted somewhere else that I've heard variations on this from Liverpool, Man U and Newcastle U fans - about Alli. It just seems like a Football Manager mentality. There are so many other factors involved.
  9. Liverpool will be top 4 next season. Heard it here first. not exactly a huge stab in the dark considering how well they're playing now and Klopp having a full offseason to prepare. Depends upon what happens in the rest of the season. If they win the Europa League then that puts them in the CL (?) which means more games but more money. If they fail but get into the Europa via their league position then I think they may struggle to get Top four just on weight of games. If they fail to qualify for either European trophy then I think they're a shoo-in for top four. If they win the Europa League and get into the CL then won't that actually mean less games? More than if they qualify for neither.

  11. 126. Somehow, in this week of all weeks, I managed to get a total of six points from four of my players. Everton can fuck off.
  12. I've met and chatted with him, and can confirm, he is a weird cunt.
  13. Used to be one of my favourite awaydays. Mind you, that was back when the whole stand physically bounced when they did the "Baggies Baggies Boing Boing" chant.
  14. Just to remind you, it will make the week of Piers Morgan. That's not a price worth paying.
  15. Amazing Even with Kane, Alli, Dembele etc, he's been our best player. Should be up for PFA POTY.
  16. Origi done. So much for saving the wild card till wk 37.
  17. Can't see them getting anything from Leicester.
  18. Good News: Aguero triple captain. Bad News: Everybody else.
  19. Yup. It's a pointless argument, obviously. The nice thing is that both of the teams that are likely to win the league would be "fairytale" in their/our own way. Both our wage bills are dwarfed by Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, but to partially balance that out we have both had luck with refereeing and injuries. Leicester have definitely benefited more from this, and I'd certainly argue that we play the better football, but we also have the advantage of a higher wage bill, so that's only to be expected. Both of us have very likeable managers. Of course, it just depends upon how you define the "best" team, but honestly, we both deserve it. I just can't see us pulling the deficit back. I maintain that Leicester aren't suddenly going to start losing because they're missing one player, and their home games look fairly straightforward. Win those and they're Champions, and fully deserved ones at that.
  20. Five points is such a big gap with four left. Vardy or no, I just can't see them not winning against Swansea, which I think will virtually seal it. We face the usual frantic stuff against a London team who will be desperate to beat us, then Southampton who are looking pretty strong and likewise have something of a point to prove (Poch). Even if we win all four, we could still fall short...and I can't see us winning all four. The margins are too slim. All it would take would be one mistimed tackle and it could all be over. If Leicester fail to beat Swansea and we beat West Brom, I might fancy our chances. If they win then I think it's theirs.
  21. Still Vertonghen. I'm not sure what could beat that.
  22. Same reason they boo Ramsey - they got Stoke players sent off by being badly fouled. The bastards.
