Prob win the competition if we managed it on recent history, theyre ridiculously hard to knock out since lows been appointed. Brazil beat them 3-2 in Semi of confederations cup 2005 Italy 2-0 needed goals in the 119th & 120th min of ET to knock them out Semi of World cup 2006 Spain managed a 1-0 win in Final of Euro 2008 Spain again just 1-0 in Semi of World cup 2010. All those sides won the respective tournament & only managed to beat em via 1 goal or Extra time. Ofcourse we'd take it to pens, cause we're awesome.

Pirlos a worry on set pieces for any side really. Only Melbergs header was a solid goal anyway, Swedens first was far more lucky than any goal we've scored. Newcastle may have got lucky at times yeah. At the same time if you limit the opposition to few chances, theyll snatch at them when they finally get one.

Reminds me of peoples arguments about Newcastle early last season tbh. Lucky to win games, not outplaying the opposition enough, to negative, opposition missing chances blah blah. Really we're just playing in a way that makes us hard to beat & relying on quality down the other end to be the difference. The goals we've conceded were a long shot & two set pieces. Theres no luck involved, some people just cant comprehend the idea of winning games without outpassing the opposition & showing overall domination.
