Cardiff & Boro 1 point below us now then.

Ashley really has rubbished this club disasterously Its massively sad
-
A s*** manager is doing more harm. Hughton cant do much about the defence giving those goals away. At best he's done crap to buy khisvalvavoav whatever. But he hardly had masses of options did he.

Injurys hurting us badly now. The cover isnt good enough obviously
-
So this is embarassing
-
Its not good when Nolans more dangerous than our strikers. Means their movement is crap. He's had all the chances this game, they should be getting in those positions.
-
Carroll to smash one in
-
Im hearing West brom down 1-0 ??
-
Get in lad. Nolans actually our most dangerous player, its a reality. By far. Come on get this won now
-
Get some strikers on and just go for it man
-
This lot waffling about the difference in this game & how we're playing better Maybe its Scunthorpe are even worse than Forest?
-
They just need to be more positive like hes saying. The better sides dont sit back and worry, we should be attacking. Lack of belief again
-
Gone flat now, needa get it down and play it again
-
Sounds like Nolans finding some space which is good Just need that goal lead we've been missin last few games
-
Except by the time Keegan bailed we'd probably be 10th in the prem The priority should really be a good manager dont ya think And your priority should be not to bite.

Its impressive how suprised everyone is id given up on an alternative happening a long long time ago

Its not going to be a complete coincidence that we've got these results when he's been in the side. The rest of the side wasnt playing much worse a few games ago & we were getting results. So its not perfect, but we need a solution to get back on winning ways. If that means we have to have players who can make something out of longball football then do that instead, harewood losing us possession = endless chances we could have had to score dissapearing. Rangers probably less clinical right now, but we'd probably keep possession more & other players would get into more attacking positions.

He doesnt have the be the player he was at Bolton in this league, he has to be better than most defences and he has been. Our squad isnt that bad. Reality is we're joint top and until recently were beating everyside put infront of us, so questioning the quality of our team being good enough doesnt make much sense. They clearly are. Agree with johnny about the problem with Nolan, he cant do very much when we're on the backfoot. But the solution to that isnt to get rid of players who arent useful when we play awfully, the solution is to not play awfully.

He's had a part in us scoring a goal in most of the games up till now, whether he got it or was involved in the setup. He's not past it. He's a slower player who needs to be played behind the front men & be making deeper runs into the box for crosses etc. Probably works best when theres two big lads upfront worrying the defence enough & he gets lots of space. If he's marked he'll be put out of the game easily. But he'll get useful goals for us & set some up also. Again id put our recent results far more down to tactics/confidence/whatever than the players being played. They should be more than good enough, if they're not the reason why needs to be sorted. Not them being replaced, we have no one substantially better who'll effect these games much more atall. The entire team needs to step up.

We havent gone infront with Harewood in the side in the past 4 games he's played. Even Ipswich we did nothing after he came on, now our worst 3 games in a row & he starts two of them. Having won 7 of the 8 games before we win 0 in 3. Doubt its a massive coincidence. Not going to make a massive judgement on things, but might be worth leaving him on the bench as he's hardly been helping matters tbh. He looks better than what he's actually giving us apparently.

Theres more to getting relegated though than simply players not being very good. It isnt as simple as x fails so x is a rubbish footballer. X might not be playing at his best & it is down to the management that he does. Last season was a massive example of players underperforming, more than anyone being massively rubbish, we certainly didnt have a team who playing atleast at half of their ability would have been relegated. But we had a side who were massively effected by the crap from last season, who all felt the pressure and had their confidence effected by that & who all played close to their worst football for us. Nolan wasnt to slow the day he got a hattrick or set up several goals that helped take us to being the only side in the league who had scored in every game a couple of games ago. Guthrie has put in better performances in the premiership than he has been in the championship recently. It seems pretty obvious to me that they can do better than they are. We look second best in midfield because our tactics have been shocking & theyve been underperforming along with that/because of that.
