Clearly we have to support the side regardless and get optimistic. But we're all allowed to share what a complete sh.thole we find ourselves in now online

They've denied that like. At the moment do you honestly believe Newcastle instead of sky sports following reports it has been rejected ? What are Newcastle going to say even if it were true ? Oh yeah we tried to get rid of one of our players, but it didnt work out so now he has to play for us still. Ofcourse they'd deny it, knowing them it probably is true. -

so you're demanding we should have brought more (decent, you said) players in but you cant name anybody you would go for with £10 million? even on a harmless, not actually real, internet forum? or has reality just smacked you between the eyes? Mate if you think i have the same player knowledge as our scouting system then that once again is just a massive failure for Ashley isnt it, the guy you're endlessly backing. How about Skjelbred, the guy keegan supposedly turned down the last window. A young playermaker with lots of potential who was also a newcastle fan. Jay simpson, the lad west brom got on loan. I am not going to waste 10 minuted looking around all the players we've been linked with just because you're to slow to consider that the argument you're making is an absolute joke. you're the one who demanded "decent" players be brought in yet you can only think of a player we've already turned down and a player already on loan at WBA. im sure if a thread was made asking who each poster would buy within a £10 million budget you'd be surprised by the lack of "decent" realistic players available for such a small price to allow us to buy 2 or 3 of them. if you want to give it another go then go ahead. So your argument is that unless i can name exact players that were available with some form of encyclopedic knowledge of each clubs transfer list & players they would be willing to sell, i shouldnt expect us to sign anyone ? See to me thats a laughable argument, which logically makes no sense as i am not in charge of scouting and should not contain the same level of knowledge as those hired for months to search out players across the globe and bring them to Newcastle. I pay very little attention to foreign leagues actually. Yet to you, that makes sense does it ? Sums it all up really doesnt it. Skjelbred was supposedly turned down by Keegan only because he was unhappy at that point already with players coming in he didnt know. Your argument about Jay simpson just sums up the amount of logic you are using once again. Perhaps genius i am suggesting that we should have loaned jay simpson before west brom did. i admire you're stubbornness. you dont need a massive knowledge of worldwide football, just players YOU think are currently "decent", who would sign for us and would have a small enough fee to allow us to buy 2 or 3 of the players on your list for £10 million. its not as complicated as you're trying to make it. btw, simpson went on loan on january 1st as a prior agreement between the 2 clubs. genius you say? Quick look at the last few days of the window, jimmy bullard, giles barnes, Savio Nsereko, Carlo Cudicini are some we could have gone in for. How about Luis Garcia or M'bia as we were once going to. How about WE should have been the side to make a prior agreement over Jay simpson before west brom. Are you related to Mike Ashley ? You seem more than ready to find any possible excuse for none of this being his fault whatsoever. If i understand rightly, you're argument is that there were simply no players other on the planet that we could possibly have bought. -

"We should have brought more players in" like i asked, you have £10 million at week 2. who would you buy? you previously specified "decent" players too. Sorry am i a scout suddenly put in place to determine all the possible players the world over that we could have bought. Give up with your useless arguments. You are quite clearly severely deluded about our position and think we're in absolutely no trouble whatsoever regardless of the fact that our whole side is becoming cripples & our curent manager shows no tactical awareness whatsoever whilst all the other sides around us bar portsmouth and middlesborough are getting better results. Guess what, if current form of each side continues in a similar manner, we'll be the 3rd side in the drop zone. I dont believe our form will improve with Everton, Man utd, arsenal & chelsea coming up. You clearly do, good luck with that. The end -

i wouldnt be so sure about the medical thing. he did have a knee injury and it was a rather strong rumour. if kinnear is to be believed, he had £10 million 2 weeks before given went and was bidding on players. make of that what you will. there are/will be 3 worse teams than us come may. its obviously going to be close for about 5 or 6 teams but im still a "1". you say "decent players", who do you mean? with the rumoured £10 million we had at week 2, who would you have bought? we cant just spend our way out of trouble without getting some back in. we arent like that anymore. its that mentality (to a point) which is limiting our finances to this day. Getting bored of this now. We should have brought more players in, the players we have available are either A: not good enough or B: Injured. Thats as simple as i can put it, you either agree with this and think we'll get relegated so we should have done more to deal with the situation or you're completely happy with the situation and for some insane reason think we'll be perfectly fine as you clearly do. Only portsmouth, Middlesborough's & Hull's current form is as bad as ours. It is very likely that we will have a hard time picking up points from our future games & the teams around us will not. Please take a look at our fixture list. -
Why do that when we can get in another winger on a free, that would be all harder and stuff
-
No idea why we would have gone for him anyway. Last thing we need is inexperienced young players who havent been getting games in our situation The whole thing is one gigantic piddle

given failed his medical twice (if we're to believe various sources) so to spend the money from that before its confirmed would be stupid. if we had a deal lined up and givens fell through then what now? say sorry and send the player back? if you genuinely believe we bidded HOPING it gets rejected then thats pathetic. i agree we should have spend some money but we just dont have very much. we are a sell before we buy club thanks to......someone. Given failing a medical was nothing more than a pathetic rumour. As i said, we should have spent regardless of these going through. It was already obvious that they were going anyway as i said. It isnt very complicated. We are incredibly likely to go down this season, this is what you seem to be failing to understand. If we go down Mike Ashley loses far more money than anyone expected him to invest in our side. Those of us annoyed feel it is quite clear our squad probably doesnt possess the ability with our current injury crisis that we conistantly go through to win many of the games we have coming up. We feel we would have been in a much better position to achieve this had we brought in a few more DECENT players. It is now apparent we would have had more than enough money to do this & Ashley should have spent regardless of how likely it looked for money to be coming into him. The fact we havent done this makes it an incredibly dangerous scenario for us. -

not a keeper specifically but some of them have got considerably weaker by selling good/their best players. we havent got THAT much weaker as harper is more than able and n'zogbia wouldnt have played anyway. according to physioroom, most of our players are back this week/month so its not like they're all out for the season. who should i compare us to then? chelsea? villa? everton? or just the teams we're fighting against? Only portsmouth sold a couple of their better players, thats about it. Our squad was small 3 seasons ago, every season we are crippled with injuries and do not strengthen in depth...every season we end up getting screwed because our best players our out. Our best players this season are the likes of Given (sold), Owen (injured), Martins (Barely coming back), Guthrie (Not even that good) & Jonas (good but apparently cannot cross or shoot). Finally Bassong who has been best for me. Reality is, even with the likes of Viduka, Guthrie, Jonas etc this season we have been losing games and looking awful. The point about the injuries is now Carroll & Colo are on the injury list, every week new players are on the injury list. What are the chances, we'll get some more by the end of the season. It looks pretty certain to me, our fitness training is clearly complete sh.te. We now because of this window STILL do not have the depth to replace any players that go out. Other sides will not have to worry about this anywhere near as much. This is most likely what will screw us in the end. If martins gets another injury we have no goals in the side. -

Tripe like that really doesn't help your argument. there's about 100 pages of people screaming "omg f***ing buy anyone!!!!" "who? f*** it, buy him!!" they're almost suicidal because we havent significantly improved the squad on a very small budget. Libertine, please explain "very small budget" we just sold given and zog for around 14/16 mill. We spent about 5. Perhaps the money was there, perhaps our scouting system failed, perhaps our negotiators are crap & failed at their jobs or Ashley, a man quite obviously clueless about football, is gambling on the idea that these signings are good enough to improve a side with 14 injuries. Perhaps there are many many far more likely & understandable positions to take than the load of nonsense you're spaffing out and the rest of us are ligitamately annoyed for a good reason. we got the money for those 2 within the last 48 hours with very little guarantee of either deal going through (failed medicals, n'zog possibly waiting for a better offer) so to spend that money before we get it (with the state of our finances) would be suicidal. the last minute bids (£16 million) were last minute because we got the money last minute. the rest is up to you whether you believe kinnear was really bidding on players for the last few weeks (from the "£10 million" quote). say what you want about all that, but the squad has improved a bit. Obviously they would not fail medicals as we knew they were fit, any well organised club would have deals lined up for this exact situation OR hurry their other deals through. We were in clear negotiations with man city over one of our players, during this time if we wanted one of theirs we would/should have made it apparent in some way. If they said no but given wanted to leave anyway it makes absolutely 0 sense to then bid for one of their players unless we did it purposly because we knew it would get rejected. Anyway Ashley already gave Kinnear 10 mill according to him remember. Ashley will lose a whole lot more if we're relegated, this isnt really a place to be talking about his finances. Facts are EVEN IF our deals hadnt gone through (we clearly knew they would days ago) we STILL should have spent money to assure our survival in the prem. There is no excuse for this situation. Maybe you should ask yourself why you keep trying to find some. -

im not fully up on the other transfers (so correct me if if needs be) hull - bought jimmy bullard and a defender we rejected. we bought nolan and a versatile defender/midfielder who is decent. west brom - just loaned a midfielder? not major strengthening. stoke - james beattie and etherington. they've done well enough but they'll still go down imo. pompey - sold their best 2 players for a s*** load of money and didnt replace either well enough. barely spent anything. blackburn - bought diouf. lost derbyshire. not too good either. sunderland - lost diouf, chimbonda and chopra and got ben haim. poor. boro - swapped mido for king. meh. like i say, if i've missed anyone fill the names in, but that doesnt look to me like they've done much better than us. if we get a few players back then we'll be fine. They also dont have their 14 players out with injury especially to those in key positions. They also have just released their best goalkeeper have they. Stop comparing us to other sides, it is quite clear we are not in equal positions. Surely the fact that we've got all these injuries and still aren't in the drop-zone is a positive? We were one unfair penalty decision away from being there... We just lost owen & barton once again. If things do not pick up soon, it is quite clear WE are not a side that will be able to pull ourselves out of the sht if we land in it. We'll have to rely on other teams, problem being their run in of games is not as hard as ours. We look increasingly likely to get relegated. A LOT relies on Martins and us beating West brom, possibly our future in the prem. -

is Taylor better than Duff on the wing? he certainly isn't better than N'zogbia. Horrible window yet again Really..a player from Bolton and one from wigan?? Shows how low our expectations are..buying off clubs around us.. Yep should have signed Lampard and Ronaldo. No one's asked for massive signings FFS Just an improvement on our squad I think we have done that. we have. but most people made their minds up months ago that we havent. In what way do you feel we've improved the squad? given wanted out and handed in a transfer request. little we can do about that. harper is a more than adequate replacement and is free. £6 million up + big wages gone. just a loss/a draw at best. n'zogbia WAS NEVER GOING TO PLAY FOR US AGAIN. lovenkrands WILL PLAY FOR US. £6 million up. win by default. nolan is better than butt, smith, geremi and is far more reliable than barton. win. taylor plays in many positions and is a decent squad player (squad depth innit). win. overall, improvement. not a huge one but an improvement. Every striker we have is carrying some kind of injury.. We only have two fit fullbacks ..... (I include Taylor in that) We have very little creativity from the middle of the park. There is no real pace in the team apart from Oba. Too many injured players, 17 year old untried kids on the bench. FFS man! we arent man city. we have essentially zero money so we weren't going to hugely improve the way most expected/demanded. But we did have money apparently two £8 mill bids knocked back. But we f***ed up so badly or intentionally that we didn't spend it. Hope we don't regret it come April if the money was there then surely kinnear should be getting it in the neck? he's been banging on about wanting money and his bidding for players for weeks. No fan of Kinnear but to believe he is in charge of deals with the present structure at the club is cloud cuckoo land. i think he is because (im fairly certain that) if he wasnt, we'd have done a bit better. What makes you so fairly certain of that? from some of the deals in the summer. if wise and co did do the most of the work in the last window then i think they'd have done a decent job in this window. Why are you willing to defend every single failure that is apparent. It is quite clear Ashley is the one who set up the club as it currently is, his actions led to us finding Kinnear in the first place. He put wise in place, Llambias in place, set up our entire scouting system all of which has amounted to us having to phone clubs up on managing to get two players from that. In other words after an entire season of scouting they found lovenkrands. How in the fck could this NOT be Ashleys fault. Wake up. just because im not crying like a bitch about being "omg!! relegated" because we didnt spend £60 million? the squad HAS improved. like ive said many times, not by a huge margin, but its better. if you look at other clubs around us in the table you'll be surprised at how badly some of them have done. as for the scouting thing, we've signed about 5 promising youngsters from around the world this window and improved the squad a bit on a very tight budget. i wasnt expecting miracles, it appears some people were. No ones expecting 60 million are they. The squad having improved is incredibly debatable & many would disagree. Other clubs around us are not newcastle having just got a transfer kitty of 18 mill are they. Signing youngsters is of no use in the fcking january transfer window when we;re fighting relegation. Im afraid you just come off as complete clueless. -
