To be honest i dont rate Colocinni massively from his showing in the prem so far. Bassong yes class & has proved himself, Beye yes class and has proved himself. Colocinni...10 mill and has....er.....not made as many mistakes when Bassongs been around him. Not good enough for me really. I very very rarely if ever see a moment where i think "well played colo". I think that about the others, even Enrique a few times recently. Our main issue though is lack of balance in the centre. Its always two defensively minded centre mids who cant put in a good through ball......butt, guthrie even cacapa was tried there. Its all defensive and crap. Even Barton has a defensive mentality mainly, but he can atleast thread through a nice ball....we're so much better with him in the side. We just need an attacking option in the middle to link it up a bit, we're far far better on the attack.

Indi, i dont think anyones disagreeing with that. The point is that Ashley was fully aware of all our debt when he went into it. A person who buys a house with the walls falling down who is either A: Aware the walls are falling down or B: didnt analyze the house enough to know that the walls were about to fall down Cannot then blame anyone but themselves if they cannot afford to look after this house. While we should be thankful that Ashley took us out of the mess Shepard created, i think many assume that there were probably other buyers around at that time who would have been better placed to own a team like Newcastle ?

That Lerner guy bought villa for much cheaper didnt he, so in comparison to his wealth he ended up with lots to spend Ashley bought a club that cost a lot more because of debts etc and he isnt wealthy enough anymore to risk splashing out on us thats basically what we're getting at isnt it

Fredbob we expected to do well before injurys and the change of manager obviously. But we are apparently far more suscepible to injurys than any other side in the premier league, especially hamstring/muscle injurys in general of which we have lead the injury table easily with every season for about the last 5 or more. It seems pretty clear that without Barton or Martins in our side are team isnt up to much atall. These two are coming back soon, if either of them get injured again what then ? Ashley hasnt invested in any form of backup. Seems he's taking a big risk & has a gamblers mentality to me.
