Why would it make the league worse.....? It would just give teams a reason to improve their academy and give more chance to English kids. The premier league will always attract the top talent in the world & will still be the best league in the world. Making sure to have atleast 2-3 english players at the least in every side wouldnt change much. At worst the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea & Man united might not do as brilliantly in europe. Why would we care about that.......?

I fail to see the problem with imposing a minimum amount of English players on English teams...it'll only benefit our national side in the end. All good to me.

Its down to Ashleys decision making that Keegan ISNT still here. I fail to see how they cant be blamed. We now find out our best player was a keegan signing & not wise.........what a suprise.

Clear evidence that we specifically have an issue. It isnt something we're all imagining, its proven & nothing is ever being done about it.

If you look at the physioroom prem injury table archive, it shows that we've been gradually getting more and more injurys every single season. Every season we get more than the last & we've been leading premiership injurys for the last 4-5 years or so. In every one of those years we get a massive amount of muscle injurys, hamstring especially. This is where the majority come from, we get more than double any other side near every season. So something is clearly completely fcked & no one is doing anything about it. When you consider that we've also had more pens against us this season than any other side.....prob more than double the next one down... We're also joint top on players getting sent off with Stoke both of us on 5. Which couldve been 6 yesterday with Taylor. Not a suprise we've having a hard time is it, all the sh.t is against us this season.

Problem with owen is that hes very much a cherry on top kinda player. If your teams doing well he can apply the finish...he'd thrive still in a class side. But hes not a player who can pick a team up himself...which makes him a useless captain tbh.

I remember he put in a really nice through ball with the outside of his right, for lovenkrands which had Vds out of his area on the wing to clear it. So he has the ability.....he needs to cut inside more and have some shots from the middle of the pitch though. Stays on the wing to much.

Cattermoles a cock, got what he deserved. Shame he isnt injured. With beye in the side tonight we'd have gotten a point if not more.

Owen gets in the right positions, he misses chances others wouldnt even get in the first place based on their movement. Last few games before the injury he was nothing special but neither was the team. Owen, lovenkrands & Martins upfront seems good to me, with owen dropping behind like he did under keegan.

We showed tonight we have the players for a solid counter attack, if it can catch Man Utd on the hop I'm sure it could cause Hull problems. Best post of the thread so far. Counter attacking is only useful against a side that will actually send a lot of men fowards themselves. Based on the Fulham game though we should get more than enough chances.

The fact he was running towards the ball atall made him better than Butt Giving the opposition the ball twice makes him better than Butt Actually winning a tackle every now and again also Butt has been a walking(barely) disaster this season. Teams just pass the ball past him and he stands around watching the defence...atleast Smith gets back to cover also.

Butts been completely useless near all season apart from the Everton game. On smiths showing tonight hes far far far more of an option than butt.

Played class today, our other players actually making runs to pick up the ball from him probably helped a bit. Geremi & Smith were 10x better than Butt has been

Portsmouth & blackburn both have a game in hand over us Portsmouths next game v Boro We'll be in bottom 3 in 2 matches time.. We've pulled ourselves out of that in the past, lets hope we can do it again

Are we f*** The point is that people, including you are saying were f***ed after playing Man United. What did you expect? Were far less f***ed from that match than we could have been. Exactly what I was getting at. It's not this game that's f***ed us, regardless of "how close" it may or may not have been, it's the spurned chances earlier in the season. No one expected any points from this game, and we got none, but all of the sudden now that's the worst possible result? Maybe people arent reacting to the result of OUR match. Theres other matches taking place which has put us in the sh.thouse if you lot were paying attention Are you this annoying in all aspects of your life or just on the internet? It's really up to us now. We have the players back we need to succeed, and with news of Guthrie and Owen coming back the state of the squad is looking up. If we play with the desire we did today, it will allow our forward going talent to save us. The loss hurts, but we can certainly move on from this point. If you find reality annoying that isnt really my issue is it. Im sure next you'll be spelling out to me that if Ameobi scores a hatrick every game we'll be safe. Hull winning Blackburn have a game in hand....and are doing alright.. Only team keeping us outta bottom 3 is portsmouth...and their next game is against......oh middlesborough. So if we lose our next match we're almost certainly bottom 3 for time being

If its not ridiculously childlike mistakes its players getting sent off, if its not players getting sent off its injurys, if its not injurys its pens against us. Joke this season, after that performance we never deserved to lose like that. I hope we'll keep this up...but seems we just raise our game for the harder sides. No doubt we'll be cack against hull again.

Lets HOPE Hughton is seeing this and is learning. The pace from Jonas, Loven, Martins upfront was brilliant.....thats how we nearly got a 2nd. Same reason we used to be good with Dyer, Bellamy etc Pace is really key. Ameobi just = slow ball game....ball hoofed up...slow down attacks....
