  1. Be useful if Michu started for them aswell
  2. He's hardly ripping it up in the Championship is he? Nah but he stepped up pretty well for us when called for. His set piece ability was useful aswell.
  3. They've only won 1 of their last 9, none of their last 11 away. Faith in Pardew to beat the odds though.
  4. Apparently we've never gone 5 successive games without scoring in the prem.
  5. If Remy scores it will help him, he can point to lack of ability in the squad he has again.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Fair play, thought that but considered it unlikely. Missed the game. Even more bizarre he was dropped then, good stuff.

    You are right http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25531688
  8. This quote from a few pages back was great. Thinks he got more respect from fans for dealing with pressure when his side was playing poorly, than getting them playing well.

Dont think so, post & bar against Cardiff in the cup. In his next start against Norwich he nearly got a pen & got us a freekick we hit the bar with. The only other two games hes played more than 45 mins since Stoke are Chelsea & Sunderland. Then you take into account his assist for Cisse's match winner, to get dropped against Everton (Where he again set up a sitter for Anita)

From that same article, but not posted for some reason... I don't doubt that he's tried a different approach. Same as Joey Barton. But these things can run deep and it's not easy. FWIW I think there's more involved here than whether or not he's having rows with his manager or his team-mates. His focus and concentration on the pitch is very off and on. Nah, theres a complete lack of balance in regards to how Pardew has treated Ben Arfa. We went on a solid run without Ben Arfa, Gouffran & Sissoko were involved in goals & we won some good games. Creates a sense of competition, fair play. His first start after that was against Stoke in a 5-1 win where he got an assist & played well. Since then he has played more than 45 minutes 4 times in 14 games man. After stoke hes dropped for 2 games, hits the woodwork twice in a start against Cardiff & is then........dropped for 2 more games? Come on. Whatever you make of Ben Arfas mentality, which may not be perfect. Pardew hasnt treated him well. Our most naturally talented player & he cant get a look in while we get thrashed each week & Dan Gosling gets starts. Its absolutely ludicrous thats how bizarre it is.
  11. “I am hoping the other strikers in the group get goals and the other creative players in the team create some goals." While he genuinely plays Gosling over our top assister from last year, benches the guy who got our last assist. Even tries Cisse on the wing. He has to be taking the absolute p*ss. He couldnt get to where he is with that level of comprehension.
  12. This is the guy who's given himself the job of noting down the finer details of the oppositions style of play. We've conceded the 4th most in the league. It adds up.
  13. Its strange that it seems like its the FA cup hes not fussed with. We've gone out to Blackburn 4-3 (Scored 3 after 90 mins), Man utd & Man City in the league cup. Not that bad. In the FA cup you're looking at Brighton twice & Cardiff. Just rubbish.
  14. I stuck up for him that first season. His style of football wasn't my preferred choice, but defensively he was doing pretty well. We rarely conceded more than once & the individual ability upfront normally won games for us. We had Simpson, Williamson, Taylor, Raylor getting games, it made sense to me to an extent to cover our weakness. Then we went attacking (Interestingly where we picked up a lot of our CS'S that went towards him beating our CS record in the prem) Then we bought better players in defence, he dropped the attacking mentality & we went more defensive? Been an absolute mess since then. The fairest i can be to him this season, is at times earlier in the season we played some really lovely football. Like training ground ass & move. The few times we did it he then ruined it constantly at half time. Pointless.
  15. This is the guy who brought back Keegan & made Shearer manager. Yet people think he's immune to fan pressure? I think its overplayed. Hes made rubbish choices with the stadium, but hes always tried to justify it. Same with transfers. He always tries to keep fans onside. Edit: Apart from Kinnear. Im not sure its possible to explain that.
  16. On that telegraph article by luke edwards: Thats impressively wrong.
  17. If Elliot's happy to share his views with one why not hundreds? We all support the same side. No idea why anyone is fussed. All I can think of is that it doesn't respect the fact that he might be scared to share these views with larger numbers of people? Which I wouldn't have much respect for anyway.
  18. Ever considered that there's so many people "projecting opinions" onto you, that actually its you that puts yourself across very poorly? This isnt a coincidence mate. You have your rep because you express yourself in a way that comes across as defending Pardew, Ashley etc & have done many times. You come across as supporting/backing up things that are hurting the club we all care about. Its nothing complicated or harsh. Its what it is.
  19. Of course. You don't think it's slightly unfair on Elliot? An NUFC employee telling people in public that Keegan is a poor manager, not as good as Pardew and that 8th or 9th is our level? Aye, my heart bleeds. You don't say things like that "in confidence" man. He's as stupid for telling an NUFC fan those views as he is for having them in the first place. Course he is, I never said otherwise. It's just a dodgy way of scoring internet journalist points, that's all. Isn't it a way of trying to spread the word about the utter catastrophe of the current ownership and what it's doing to our club from top to bottom? You could say that, yes. But the principal of how it was done still applies IMO. What principals should the Guv be held to? He's shared the details of a conversation that took place in public. What's wrong with that? Well I would say it was a private conversation, and he's used it to publish a highly-critical article. But obviously that's just my opinion. Did you feel sympathy for Hall & Shepard when it came out about them calling the women of Newcastle dogs & mocking supporters for paying big for shirts then?
  20. What does this even mean? Elliots a moron for thinking he could share negative views of a Newcastle icon with a Newcastle fan, let alone the other bollocks? Why would you feel sympathy with a viewpoint thats hurting something you care about?
  21. There has never ever been a case of a person ever being caught out for saying something dodgy in public which was then reported in some type of news format. This is horrific.
  22. We gave an honest account of ourselves today apparently.
