Probably will be, he made the provisional 30 at the World Cup, only to be cut. He's got 7 caps aswell. He'll go to Werder.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Coventry fans are still laughing their tits off at getting cash for him. -
Kezman you seem clued up on Dutch football, I know we were briefly linked to de Guzman and I remember him being good on FM. What's he actually like IRL?

Aye gone to Seattle, but not before having a bronze statue set outside Twente's stadium: http://www.soundersfc.com/~/media/C99A16C512064BB99F399F7A63F8A825.ashx?w=586&h=440

Does anybody reckon if we did go for any Argentinean/Spanish speaking players having the amigos on board would actually have an influence towards them joining us? Probably would make a minimul difference.

I meant more in terms of what he offered the team. He was a fantastic target man. Ruiz is fantastic though, him and Stoch combined got nearly 40 goals, admittedly 3/4's came from Ruiz. Yeah, N'Kufo was the figurehead of the team. Strange player though, up until 28 he was a journeyman in Switzerland, Germany and Qatar playing no more than 40 games at 10 different clubs...then just deciding to settle somewhere and become that clubs all time leading goalscorer.. playing over 200 games in the twighlight of his career. It was as if his career was backwards, Middle East at the start of his career, first World Cup at 35.

N'Kufo was consistent throughout his entire career in Holland, his two seasons under McClaren were actually his worst. The reason they won the title was Bryan Ruiz, if he was behind that signing then hats off. Also he deserves massive credit for going with the Dutch style 4-3-3 rather than his defensive tactics of the past, and also for going with entirely Dutch coaches/staff instead of bringing across his own entourage. To be honest overall he's really impressed me, the times I saw Twente play last season they were really easy on the eye. Hope he has much success with Wolfsburg.

It's what Bent called him on Twitter.

That's a thousand times worse. How? There are no reserve leagues in Italy meaning players have to leave or they rot. But rather than being loaned out (and kept by the larger clubs completely) they have to be sold, basically the smaller team gets the player for as long as 2/3 years until a bidding process can start between the two clubs to decide who takes 100% control of the contract - of course this once again favours the bigger teams financially, but more often than not it gives the smaller teams more of a fighting chance. Overall it means players are distributed more fairly, of course it's not a perfect system but it's betteHr. It works nothing like that though. It favours the bigger teams with cash to spend, imagine Citeh having that luxury, they'd part own 200 players, WTF is the point in that for everyone else? It's fine the way it is, its not broken and it doesn't need fixing. The part owning isn't long term though, it's basically a loan that gives the smaller teams the option to buy without being held to ransom. The squad limitations and lack of reserve league prevent teams from just stacking up players, it's not as if they own bits of players everywhere like you're suggesting. It's much better than a team buying up loads of players and then just lending them out to everyone, letting the smaller team build them up, then just taking them back leaving the smaller team looking for a replacement. The smaller team has the option of competing in an auction, often a blind auction (even more chance of keeping the player) giving them some kind of competitiveness. It's not a perfect system by any means, often complex, but it's a damn site fairer than total monopolisation which is what will happen with the current loan system in place. Blaming the loan system for the 'total monopolisation' in our league is like blaming Boeing for 9/11. Already mentioned that it's merely part of the problem, but it does contribute.

If you're into seizures, yeah. Jesus Christ, my fucking eyes.

Cattermole is much, much better than Smith. Not even a comparison. Cattermole actually has a decent engine on him and his passing range has improved, plus he has 10 times the defensive capabilities Smith has.

Ben Arfa back on Marseille's website, guess the deal fell through

Lots on their forum reckon none of our players would get in their side. Only the 3 amigos and Carroll would be in contention. Still more than none. Who is their other central midfielder apart from Cattermole? Guthrie would certainly complement him better than Cana did.

Hodgson and McClaren have both done more than Redknapp, and neither have left a trail of financial disaster in their path.

Stoke seem to have a bit of wedge actually, where is it coming from?

Without Darren Bent they're no better than us imo. Well maybe slightly, but the way they go on you'd think they were a CL side. They've got a lot of dross in their team.

Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton fans could all give similar stories.

Best needs to fucking flogged, not given gametime in the Premier League. -
Bruce is definitely spending MUCH wiser than Keane did.

If I was rich I'd probably tour the World and take in a football match at every place I visited.
