Fucking hell, look at that lead - the pressure's on now like.

I don't understand the headline. Plus he is repeatedly linked with that gig.

How strong a side do you think we'll need to play to have a chance of getting something? First choice lineup? -
And cheers Dave, I think I just had an epileptic fit.

It is a bit annoying how he actively defends the inactivity rather than just keeping his mouth shut about it, mind.

How much enjoyment do you get from watching NUFC?

I still think we're a very fun club to support, because unusual things seem to happen to us to keep us on our toes as supporters. Since we've been promoted, you have the 6-0, 5-1, 4-4 games - all pretty incredible in their own right, you have some absolute moments of magic from Ben Arfa, 2 of the best purple patches in Premier League history from Ba and Cisse, turning the tables on Liverpool after they signed 2 of our best players, the 3-0 vs Man Utd (it's very rare they get turned over so emphatically), the comeback vs Everton after we got murdered first half, etc. I don't enjoy watching most matches at the moment though, it has to be said. Bit annoying because it's what I look forward to all week as well. -
His job isn't to coach the defence, he's the manager. Keep hammering away with the negativity Mick, you must enjoy your life. How's that negative, he's stating a fact. Because i said anything about coaching a defense? If you're questioning why Pardew had any input in preparing us defensively for upcoming games then f*** knows what you're after. It clearly worked wonders for us & gave us new defensive records that were a huge part of our season given the standard of players we were rotating. But yeah, lets question his role instead of giving him any plaudits. "Hows that negative" "His biggest strength has been sorting our defence, the issue he said was his job to sort in training." There is clearly far more to his role than that, which Mick pointed out. It could be argued that this obsession with the defence is holding us back somewhat. On Saturday we only fielded 3 players that you could describe as remotely attacking. Perhaps he needs to look at the whole picture rather than prattling on about the defence non-stop. I didnt suggest there wasnt more to his role for that to need to be pointed out, i was replying to someone questioning what he gave us. What other options did he have? You'll find you're left with Anita & an out of form Marveaux who'd played 90 minutes midweek. I didnt see anyone asking for Fergie to start in the prematch thread either. Im fairly sure he was also manager during our best attacking play last season also btw. Why's he abandoned the idea of going out to attack teams then? That is the root of most of the frustration. If it's down to lack of options then I'm surprised you can say that with a straight face. Because we didn't need any more players, did we? It won't be an issue - a small, unbalanced squad with poor backup options won't get found out. We've never lost points because of this and we never will.

I love how seriously people take the scoring in the thread title. Not having a pop Neil, I tend to do it too ("that's never a goal, etc").

Nar, they're drawn on.

FFS. Cannot stand some people on this forum. I'm off out.
-
The press have got it in for him though, even more so since he replaced Redknapp.
-
I'd mainly have him back because he'd improve us. I also think we'd be getting a bargain if we got him for £3m-6m.
-
You people and number purity ffs Clint Cleaning up the garbage, as usual Rubbish.
-
Would be surprised if Spurs held out, seen this too many times.
-
It might be that the best thing for him/us is if the Demba Ba situation's taken out of his hands in January or the summer (if he's somehow replaced by 1 or 2 more versatile forwards).
-
I really don't like that Southampton manager.
-
True. Rarely when we win do we do that. Aye, also the set penises are really fecking me off. Talk about lack of imagination and thought behind them. I mean at least try a short one or something different. Even a Sunday League team would come up with something else. Its now got to the point of embarrassment. Set penises!

I think there's a lot in this - it reassures fans and players that we're progressing, keeps players on their toes and then there are the practical benefits. Instead it's been incredibly flat. -
Funny comments from Rodgers on SSN just now. Still prattling on about Suarez not getting penalties, "I'm fortunate today because he could have had a penalty and he should have had a penalty. But as I said during the week he doesn't get anything in games. And it's unfortunate because he's a real good guy".
-
He didn't score for about 4 months last season tbf like. His first goal today was absolutely fucking outstanding, you'll do well to find a better goal anywhere in Europe this week.

I wouldn't have a problem with things not quite clicking for us like he's constantly suggesting is happening, it's that we don't seem to even try to play proper football. When we're winning games like that then it papers over the cracks. Bit sick of him treating the fans like idiots.
