  1. tbf Spurs are rather good, looked excellent today
  2. Destined to be bottom tbh, i genuinely don't see a worse team in the league no offence to Reading. southampton looked awful vs Wigan the one game you can really judge them on thus far plus their confidence has bound to have taken a hit
  3. the media are going to be so disappointed in Villas Boas getting a win
  4. just wait until its City vs Spurs and the mayhem there will be in the build up to round 2 of Maicon vs Bale League and cup win in Brazil, 4 Serie A titles, 2 Coppa Italias, Champions league winner, 66 caps for Brazil, 2 Copa America wins, numerous individual awards... ...all ignored because of 1 and a half games against Gareth Bale. While carrying an injury. yeah but he did he do it on a cold wet winter night at Stoke? (that phrase is one of the biggest abominations in the history of football)
  5. just wait until its City vs Spurs and the mayhem there will be in the build up to round 2 of Maicon vs Bale
  6. I think I'm having my best week yet that isn't saying much, good lord I'm bad at this
  7. its hard to argue anyone deserves the kind of wage a week that some get but however looking at it from the players point of view is that each clubs revenue in the premier league is large, the TV contract alone brings in ridiculous amounts of guaranteed cash without the clubs having to really do anything other than show up never mind the other sources of income and the players can argue quite correctly they're the stars of the show so why shouldn't we get our fair slice of the cash, of coarse many get more than their fair slice and some don't deserve a single penny (Nile Ranger, the poster boy for idiotic waste of space footballer). A salary cap isn't the worst idea however realistically for it to work it would have to be a set % of a clubs revenue (60% is the commonly cited ideal i think) and theres no hope of the FA or Premier League implementing it unless its a Europe wide inicitive since the easy excuse of "we need to stay competitive in the champions league and keep up with real and barca for the global audience blah blah blah" can be trotted out
  8. the media really has it in for Villas Boas judging by this scathing article which can be basically defined as a Redknapp suck up piece http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/andre-villas-boas-has-three-games-to-save-1326409
