I'm still mightily p***ed off, but i cannot help looking forward to being so close to the action in the SE Corner, which will hopefully recreate some of the atmosphere from L7

Is the article going to be in tomorrow's Ronnie Gill?

From facebook United For Newcastle regretfully note today that Newcastle United Football Club have begun notifying season ticket holders from Level 7 that they will not be allowed to relocate the club-introduced ‘singing section’ into Level 4 of the Leazes’ End. The area – we are told – will be the preserve of big party bookings, such as football clubs. As a result, we will support and assist fans that wish to find alternative space, potentially in the South East Corner where many ‘singing section’ fans are attempting to find new seating. United For Newcastle wish to voice their displeasure at this decision, and note that the move has angered a great many fans. We are all frustrated by the increasing corporatist mentality of Newcastle United, their contempt for the fans, and for the players. This move follows months of communication between United for Newcastle and Newcastle United during which the club made it clear that they took the concerns of Level 7 seriously, and would actively seek to find a satisfactory resolution. United For Newcastle accepts that the club has extended the away section to comply with Premier League regulations, and welcome the extension of the family area. However, United For Newcastle believe the club’s treatment of the fans from Level 7 and of representative fan organizations such as ourselves to have been shambolic. We believe the club has ignored pleas from fans to listen to our concerns and act on them. We believe that the club, who never had any intention of adequately replacing the singing section, has intentionally misled fans once again. In our meetings with the club, we were told they would offer alternatives to Level 7 by the end of the season. No such alternatives have been offered, and fans attempting to move with friends and rebuild the atmosphere so vital to our stadium have had their attempts thwarted without alternative suggestion, simply because such a move fails to comply with the club’s long-term seating strategy; one that completely disregards the loyalty of the club’s most passionately vocal supporters. The news comes after reports that Newcastle United would not be offering key player Joey Barton a new contract, after a season of fantastic performances. We are concerned that Newcastle United’s long-term business approach cares for nothing but profit margins and penny pinching, as evidenced by the sale of Andy Carroll without replacement, the apparent refusal to offer Joey Barton a new contract and by the shameless disregard for fans paying hard-earned money to watch the team they support. Rest assured, United For Newcastle will remain pro-active and continue informing fans of developments, and if possible find a workable solution, but we must all be aware that we now appear to be facing a business whose machinations will continue regardless, and not the football club we all adore. More likely to be the refusal to sit down in that area tbh. Which is more a case of the Police exerting a bit of pressure. Makes no sense. Very few police in the SE and Gallowgate area of the ground. Majority are in L7, and the Police box is in L4 It's against the law and the grounds safety certificate to allow standing throughout the game. The police/club are supposed to enforce this so by splitting up an area of 2500 people who constantly stand and spreading them elsewhere it will help alleviate that problem. It also makes the police job easier if those chanting and standing are not in close proximity to the away fans. I see your point, but if say 500 people now go to the SE Corner to stand, the Police will have to shift some of their officers every week to compensate this factor. And Ashley is cost cutting even the Police at the matches.

Aye Literally just got one. Thanks Did Simon get back to you about your re-confirmation email for changing seats from Block L to the SE Corner?
-
Are you meant to receive a confirmation email from the club after the move has been made?
-
Don't worry, a lot of fans are moving here. Trying to give this move momentum. Exactly, we can easily still turn this into a positive, imagine his face first game of the season when he takes his seat and opposite him the SE Corner is full of fans standing, singing, still together & not backing down. Stick together, if we have the numbers (3,000 from Leazes corner) we have the power, spread the word, get the momentum going and we can still turn this into a blessing in diguise and shove it right back down the wankers throat. I hope we can stand in the SE Corner like I thought it was full of owld gadgies whenever i've been there tbh.

Little tip for those awaiting a phone call. I rang, waited 8 mins to get through. A woman answered and asked 'if i had been phone called?' I replied 'yes' (I hadn't) 'Who by?' I replied 'erm...a woman' She then said 'ok' and searched for my application. She sorted it, done and dusted. Hopefully you lot can move to the SE Corner too

Blef, where are you sitting next season?
-
Aye that's why i picked it. I see people standing on the back row of the East Stand so that's why i chose the seats. Hopefully it will be our own mini signing corner next season.
-
New seat: SE Corner Block F Row U Seat 96/97 Absolutely gutted
-
Who are people ringing? I don't want to wait to find out i cant get SE Corner
-
They cannot just tell us straight. Really considering what to do next season :/
-
Anything they have done in the past few months has all gone down the shitter after the L7 stuff.
-
I want to ring the BO, but not yet to see how things unfold
-
So what are we going to do about it? Unfortunately it's too late :/ We're just going to have to try somewhere else
-
Grade A C***s they really are. Where can the movers go to stand though?
-
Where will everybody be moving then? Gallowgate Upper? Corners etc? UtdForNewcastle and others need to quickly get something in motion to let L7 movers know the score
