Germany have a 1.5 or 2:1 ratio for league games. That are then replaced to 1:1 for European games. Not sure why that can’t be fought for at government level.

Very happy about L7 going safe standing. The Leazes desperately needs an injection of atmosphere. I hope it’s more than just one or two blocks.

I’m certainly not a happy clapper and get just annoyed as everyone else. Some of our performances this season have been very poor. Our poor signings have exacerbated our lack of strength in depth and ability to change our Plan A. I’ve no idea if it is Howe or someone else in charge of transfers - and that’s something that needs addressed. However, I really think we have to be careful what we wish for. If we make the wrong decision, it could bite us on the arse for years to come and lead to a long line of replacements. The sacking of SBR as an example, with no serious replacement, effectively put us back 20 years, give or take a few enjoyable seasons. One only has to look at Spurs to see what can go wrong with one or two bad management decisions. Give Howe the summer to get rid of the deadwood and the players who don’t wish to be here. At the very least he has earned the right to try and address the issue. Not sure why I’m putting this in here but just a few thoughts anyway.

Wild that. so someone could buy a membership now and have a chance, however remote, of getting one. Yet someone like @bobbydazzlawho has tried his best to get a ticket for every game might still not get one. It defeats the point of a waiting list. Also, no idea why they’ve only done it for the last 2 seasons. I presented my views to the FAB, of which none of it has made it even close to the roll out (e.g. Historical data since 2022). Funnily enough, it’s effectively exactly what they set out at the ST workshop, again confirming it’s all lip service and they’ve made their mind up months ago.

Really think WF should be having serious conversations with the club if the club consistently fails to listen to your feedback. Did anything come of the atmosphere survey btw? The work you all do is mammoth (having helped out once or twice I can only imagine what the regulars sacrifice week in week out). And it seems a one way relationship at times, as an outsider looking in. Well done as always 👍🏻

It would be nice if the club actually tried to do some proactive and positive. I’m not sure why they’re so reluctant though.

This was the inevitable outcome after the ballot system was brought in and the reticence from the Club to have a second standing/singing section. It is all so predictable and will only continue to get worse. I’ve only been lucky once in the ballot this year and I’m not even sure i want to be successful again. How may others are beginning to feel the same?

Still annoyed about the safe standing workshop a few years back. Their mind was made up and it was all lip service. I put forward many on this forum’s viewpoint to have a L4 and L7 ‘mega corner’ to oppose the noise generated from thr Stawberry Corner. Effectively creating two ‘ends’ - as well as maintaining the spiritual end of the Leazes. Add into this that the majority of ticket holders in L4 and L7 aren’t ST holders. I also made the point that if people REALLY want to stand they’ll move. If you keep it solely in the Strawberry Corner - those who want to be part of an atmosphere rather than generate it are never going to give up what is arguably one of the best views in the stadium along with the easiest access in and out of the ground with proximity to the majority of pubs and bars (pre digital ticket shenanigans). I emailed the FAB last night as there is a vacant seat. I will die on this hill

Was speaking to a Sunderland ST holder at work today. Said we were the worst away fans at SoL this season. I’m not saying he was right or wrong - but he was saying it from a good place (despite being smug as fuck discussing the game itself). He actually said it was pretty depressing to see as you would expect the away end to be deafening in a derby. He asked me why it was. I think @bobbydazzlaechoed my exact sentiments to him.
