  1. Is that likely to effect Erding? More likely means they have abandoned the chase for Ganso.
  2. Gotta watch Atlético tonight. Wonder if Forlán will start.
  3. I just love how people automatically believe every league outside Britain only has midgets in it
  4. "Will he cope with the physical nature of the premiership?" every time a small/technique based player is linked with a move to the PL. Read it about Agüero yesterday, read it about Pastore today, read it 10000000000000 times about Messi. Such a tiresome cliché.
  5. Odonkor is a perma-crock these days, Kieron Dyer is a beacon of fitness compared to him.
  6. Former Barça president Josep Lluís Núñez (he was president during the Cruyff era) has been sentenced to 6 years of jail for tax evasion (not related to Barça although we were sentenced to pay a huge fine for tax evasion during his tenure). Great president, pity he's always been such a crook.
  7. Got around to watch the highlights for this. Granted the opposition looked poor (The Crew are a good team though, in MLS terms) but you looked very good and quite watchable. Loved the on the deck passing and movement upfront. Was pleasantly surprised by Gosling.
  8. Yes. Actually he should thrive on a league that defends more up field than La Liga. But I'm not sure he'll work on the 4-3-3/4-5-1 ManCity uses, although it depends on the nature of the players surrounding him. He had a great rap with Forlán on their 4-4-2. Something like Tévez/Kun/Silva (assuming Tévez stays) should be mental.
  9. He really has turned heel http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3718475/Sergio-Aguero-Call-me-Che-Guevara.html
  10. Oh, and I fully expect Mancini to totally waste him on the wing and having a disappointing season.
  11. 200k/week I heard, stuff of dreams indeed. But he'll be in a team that will fight for trophies in the next years, which ultimately is what he wanted. I'm still mystified about his sudden heel turn with Atlético though, somebody has counseled him very badly. He didn't need to leave in this way.
  12. Actually "As" reports that the transfer is being held up as Atlético don't fully trust City won't eventually sell Agüero to Real Madrid and want to include a clause to prevent that They're so cute
  13. I'm gonna hate him playing for Real Madrid, like.
  14. "Loco" Abreu has compared his Uruguayan teammate Lugano receiving the Fair Play award from Copa América to Bin Laden receiving the Nobel Peace Prize
  15. Great goal. Looks like it was a tremendous game too.
  16. Heh, they have 4 trophies, one for each competing team. How cute.
  17. What we want from Cesc is not what we want from Thiago. Thiago really isn't cut for the Xavi role, he is more a #10 than a playmaker. I don't see Fabregas being cut out for the Xavi role either. Guardiola thinks he is (and has thought so since long), so that's the plan at least.

  19. Boateng is looking very handy for Bayern. He looked great in the WC, so I think Mancini gave up on him too soon. Thiago FFS
  20. f*** sake, Osvaldo would be perfect for us. He's out of your reach, €20m is the reported asking price.
  21. Stekelenburg is a far better signing than Kameni for your goal indeed. Who else are Roma linked with? Gonna follow them this year and start watching Serie A more regularly with Bojan and Luís Enrique there.
  22. Rossi or Osvaldo. Don't think Forlán will leave, he's even volunteered to cut his holidays short in order to play in the EL qualifying round.
  23. Ok, Dos Santos playing as RB (weird), so no 3-4-3.
  24. I presume that if he performs well with you, but not €40m well, we'd negotiate a lower fee. I can't see him returning to Barça as long as Pep is manager (which admittedly may not last more than this season). Luís Enrique was fantastic for Barça B, he achieved our highest finish ever for our B side. He's more direct and aggressive than Pep, although he still played the same brand of football. His rants on the touchline are great. I think it's a bold move for both Enrique and Roma, since going to a different league is always a challenge, but I back him to do well.
