I was expecting a worse reaction to the memorial honestly. It's a fucking plane crashing into a wall, imagine if someone made a 9/11 memorial with half a plane attached to a tower. Can't believe someone thought that was okay and went ahead with it.

A new memorial dedicated to the Torino team that died in a plane crash in the 40's

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America

Sammir is in the Croatia preliminary squad. Why hasn't Feilhaber been picked either? Isn't he like born in Brazil, should guarantee him a spot in Klinsmanns squad. Klinsmann is apparently not a fan. He's been a really good MLS player the last few seasons, but Diskerud is basically the same player except better and younger. I'll always appreciate Feilhaber though, scored the winning goal on the volley at my first ever professional match. -

"Enjoy it, Reds" South Korea appear to have already given up. Love the double exclamation point on England's, too. -

It does apertura and clausura, but that's really it.

No Wigan

As long as you don't buy tickets directly from the club the price is fine. I can pay $15 going through a third party, then just move up to some of the empty seats when you get there.

The quality isn't there though. And with regards to growth, what European leagues can grow so to speak? They're already established. It might just crack the top 20 of European leagues in terms of quality. So yeah, it's not all there yet. Doesn't mean the games aren't entertaining and filled with talented players. I'd much rather watch a Seattle-Portland game than some of the fare served-up in the Premier League this season, including many of our own matches. Fastest growing league that might crack the top 20 in Europe, making it possibly cracking the top 25 in the world? How fast must it grow before you can enjoy genuine quality in that league for you not to die before? As soon as wages start rising and TV revenue starts flowing (and just today, MLS signed a major U.S. TV deal), it'll kick into overdrive. It'll never be on the same level as the Premier League, or La Liga, or Bundesliga. But an MLS on par with the Portuguese or Russian leagues isn't out of the question in the next 20 years. Dat ambition I commissioner says the league's goal is to be the best in the world in 10 years, so

Hate Fox, but I guess they're a necessary evil at this point.

I don't think MLS is particularly suited for Rio at this point. For all its faults in terms of quality of play, it's at least full of athletic players, not quite Rio's strong point right now. Clubs would want him, and he'd probably do fine, but there are many other washed up internationals that the league would want more than Ferdinand.

He'll make it. Mix is the only CM we have that gets forward basically exclusively. Torres and Feilhaber were his only competition and they didn't make it.

As a Brad myself, I was hoping for more.

I'm happy with this. Only player I really don't want to see in the final 23 is Davis.

If that's it then fair enough, good team. Carroll's the only one I'd put in there, but hard to begrudge Lambert a spot after his decent run in the team.
-
Roy is surprising me here, didn't think he'd drop Walker despite him being erratic for a while now. Smalling and Jones in to backup Johnson? Fucking stupid that this is all coming out like this.
-
Squad list appears to be leaking slowly, no Cleverley or Carrick
-
Yeah, basically, it's time to move on. Although besides Gerrard, Cole is probably the only one worthy of a spot.
-
Kind of just thought he would make it by default. Guessing that means Shaw is in, big day for him.
-
I hope at some point in my life I'm able to have a conversation with him, just to see what it's like.

Didn't even finish second in our mini-league. Well done.
