MOTD was so biased in their highlights, didnt show one NUFC attack, just showed a load of wasted Arsenal possession -
Dont blame him after being blatently stamped on by Song then seeing Gervinho blatently cheat, must have been so pissed off by it. Blown completely out of proportion just because its Barton. If it was any other player, people wouldbe going crazy about the stamp. Dont see anything differen between the Vidic and Drogba champions league slap. Gervinho slap was probably no more harder than Drogba's and no one was saying Drogba shouldnt have been sent off. And Vidic was going just as crazy as Barton but no one said he should have been sent off. Barton had been stamped on with no punishment so not suprised he went down after Gervinho raised his hands

Didnt have any space to work with really, Arsenal had the extra man in the centre so him and Tiote were constantly chasing the ball trying to block them from getting through. Shower more quality when he was allowed to move forward more in the second half, however was probably knackered from all the defensive work done earlier on. Can see him breaking down sides a lot easier when he plays against teams with more space in the middle

Although was quiet today, he protected Raylor all game and brought the ball out of defence at times when in trouble

Him and Collo had a great partnership today. Despite his one dangerous give away, he made some vital interceptions and blocks today. Noticed a couple of times when Gervinho/RVP broke through tracked them back showing good pace and ended up winning the ball and covering well. Even a year ago he would have dived in/ sold himself giving away a pen and/or red card but instead stayed on his feet. Hopefully is finally maturing into a good quality defender

Gervinho looks a good player when running at people but had no end product, 9/10 times gave the ball away afte taking on the fullback. Red card for him and yellow for Barton was correct imo! -

Dont think Lovo touched the ball aftter coming on, but really think Best could become a very good striker given the chance.
