For a start, Adebayor and Modric are better than Ba and Cabaye.

Apart from Santon it's fine.
I know Coloccini is a good defender (somthing i said when you first signed him AND during his poor performances when countless people on here had written him off btw) but he's not better than King imo. Yes King has a poor injury record but even this season we've conceded 2 goals in 4 games and won 4 on the trot since he's come back and he's been putting in great perofmances.
Ledley doen't rely on fouling players to get the ball off them (not saying Coloccini does btw) Thierry Henry himself said King is the best cb he's ever played against in this league as he could get the ball off him without fouling.
Since 1998 when King first came into the team he's been yellow carded 7 times and never sent off. 7 yellow cards in 13 years for a centre back is astonishing.

Marveaux has to start. We just can't afford Obertan to be a passenger, especially against (admittedly over-rated, but still alright) Bale.
Bale doesn't often play left back these days. more likely to be Assou-Ekotto.
I was thinking more if we needed the wingers to track back and help out the full backs in the way Jonas does.

Meh Barton played well for us last season, I don't see any need to rewrite him out of the club's history since we've hit the ground running without him.
He's a right mad one off pitch though, entertaining, but glad he's out the dressing room really.

As a team and squad the only ones better than us in the PL are Chelsea and the Manchester Squad. Gordon, Sess and Richardson would all easily get a game for the vast majority of the premier league

Looking at Red and White Kop. He's one of the best left backs in the world now. Suarez is one of the best players in the world too. Its amazing how they arn't up there with Barca tbh.

After about 60 mins of high tempo football, sprinting 50 yards leaves you a bit knackered on the way back like.

For some reason, we are Spurs bogey team. Plus they don't travel well and we have been immense at SJP so far. As long as Pardew don't do retarded substitutions again and actually plays our strongest XI I think we'll win this comfortably. 3-1.

Have thought for a while that long term this will be our best team going forward. Best has been playing very well though so it would be unfortunate for him to be dropped as he does not deserve to be. Ben arfa has to play though he's absolutely world class & could hurt any team.
Our fullbacks are currently the weakest part of our team so santon has to start in place of one of them. It's a very close call but simpson has been possibly the worst of the two.
Both ben arfa and marveaux look way superior to obertan. So one of them should replace him.
The toughest call is if best should be dropped or not as he has been playing very well and pardew has said it's his shirt to lose so I doubt he'll be dropped
That is our best XI. Sad/infuriating we won't see it anytime soon.
Thing is though, it suits our squad perfectly. It can be broken down into several areas:
Keepers: Krul, Harper, Elliot
Fullbacks: Santon, Raylor, Simpson, Fergy
CBs: Colo, Saylor, Williamson, Kadar, Perch
CMs: Tiote, Cabaye, Guthrie, Gosling, Smith
Wingers: Jonas, Marveaux, Obertan
AMs: Ben Arfa, Vuckic
STs: Ba, Best, Sammy, Shola, Lovenkrands, Ranger
Also, our midfield 5 can be very flexible i.e. Our wingers can easily play the AM role and vice versa. Cabaye can push up and support the AM and Tiote can drop and become a fifth defender.
Am incredibly positive about our 4-5-1 (4-2-2-1-1?) formation. Really could propel us into Europe.
