Not at all. If West Ham accept the offer and he subsequently refuses to join us, he stays on £15k/week. He only gets £60k/week if West Ham refuse to accept the £10m offer.
Therefore any club looking to sign him really only has to compete with his £15k/week wages.

He won't settle for 15kpw on his next contract though. Plus he's likely to demand an inclusion of a release clause.
Anyway, 10m is too big a risk on him. You can easily lose the whole fee if he does a Ranger.
