They did but Hoffenheim were the big losers in the Ba transfer. West Ham effectively paid around 500k for a year's loan.
  2. Yeah heard a rumour Rooney might miss out. Probably resting him for Spurs if true. Their reserve forwards can easily handle Norwich.

The way I read it, that pay rise is only if they reject the 10m though. And they would have done well to get 10m for him.
  4. Can't wait, especially that he's coming back from months of layoff. Doubt he will have a strong performance against us.
  5. One year left on his contract (Dec 14) with Anzhi now a selling club and strong relegation candidates. Strong ? haven't won a game all season 19 in Strong as in strongly tipped for relegation. Weak relegation candidates doesn't sound right.
  6. I find that managers rest players often during this period, and it's anybody's guess who they rest. Rather than take a 4 points hit, you might as well select your best players and hope for they get to play.

  8. Coming up against an active account in the cup this time round. Thought last gw's inactive was easy but the low-scoring week gave me a few scares.

We have proven you can bring quality and quantity for a small amount BUT Sunderland are likely to waste that kind of money on old, average, cloggers Yeah but we had a plan and those players were on our list for some time. Hopefully Fanti sells the two and gets different players from those Poyet wants for the meltdown.

    La Liga 14/15

I assume that's Pizzi. How's he as a manager considering you follow SA football?

For that kind of money they might as well stick with those two. 10m wouldn't bring you much in terms of quality and quantity these days.
  12. Not when 2 of them were in totally impossible offside positions. You could see the clip and realise how much they were taking their time in no mans land. And Santon defintely takes a huge slice of the blame for playing the wrong ball. Anyway, we've had a fair bit of discussion in the match thread you might want to read about.
  13. He doesn't take many shots but when he does, he makes them count. His conversion rate is similar to Remy's. http://i.imgur.com/3CFnn67.png Clinical.
  14. That isn't true though. We conceded because a couple of our midfielders were strolling back after a FK was cleared, and that Santon made a horrendous decision. There's this mistaken impression that we were being gung-ho getting our 2nd goal that lead to us conceding when the truth was the players didn't even bothered getting back from miles-offside positions. And two of our back four plus Tiote were our last line of defence when Santon was in the middle doing his though ball. It was more an overall poor play than an indication of any attacking intent. It tells you even more when you watch the actual clip.
  15. Even by some miracle they get him, Bielsa will fall out with him in no time.
  16. Well the last thing you would want when you're going to be involved in a relegation dogfight is the negative atmosphere and protests at games. What difference has his few weeks of resistance made? I think that it has only served to turn more of their support against their owner when instead they should be focusing on keeping the club up. A bit of the Blackburn situation all over again. The negative atmosphere and protests are all due to the stupidity of the owner and the manager should gladly take it up the arse, and leave without his compensation? That's ridiculously flawed logic like. That's the fault of Iain Moody who has since been sacked, and of Vincent Tan for not appointing the proper footballing administrators.
  17. Can't see what Mackay has done wrong here. Cardiff's league position is where it should be thereabouts, in fact putting on a bit of a fight until Vincent Tan revealed his madness. Those three managers got sacked for less, the common denominator being they were sacked harshly as Mackay is by some insane owner.
  18. That ultimatum sure took long enough.
  19. GW19: West Ham 1-1 West Brom Aston Villa 0-1 Swansea Hull 0-1 Fulham Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace Norwich 1-2 Man Utd Cardiff 2-1 Sunderland Everton 3-1 Southampton Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool Tottenham 2-0 Stoke
  20. He has focused largely on his game and less on his diving and playacting antics tbf.
