Reliable source or you actually know? From the risk team at Barclays. It's second hand info I concede but I 100% trust that I'm not on the end of a wind up myself. Reason they would be informed is in the covenant for the loan/overdraft - change of ownership in the business is a material event. Does nothing for the timing mind, still got to keep glued to SSN for that That timing kind of fits in with what I was told on Friday. Charnley I’m told rang the club on Friday after the PL meeting to say that it was all approved and that they were waiting for the rest of the funds to be released. I’m aware of who was told this by Charnley and it came to me via a chain of only 2 other people, no friend of a friend type of chain either. I’m still hoping we hear something this week but if Friday was the approval day then the money transfer may not have started any process until Monday. Here’s hoping, I’ll be gutted now if this gets stopped. Not doubting any of this, but wonder why Caulkin is still saying the PL is still looking at it and it’s likely not till next week....mind you even Caulkin won’t necessarily have any more ITK than anyone else..perhaps we are putting too much faith in Caulkin’s connections with Staveley....Here’s hoping Tsunami is found to be correct. If either are correct I'll be a happy man.

You're meant to tell us 'MASSIVE UPDATE AT 10!' first. Hype things up a bit.
-
I'll take that, better than it collapsing by this time next week.

Care to share anything informative? Even just that bullet point has made me think its pure bullshit. Strange reply. Sorry mate I've just read that back and seen how it looked, I meant share anything informative from the podcast as I didn't fancy listening to the full thing, as it seems like bullshit. Haha, no problems. The NUFC stuff is only on for 5 or 6 minutes from 7 mins 30 seconds. Basically he just says Saudi economic slump won't affect the deal, the buyers are confident they'll pass the PL tests and they're hoping to hear the outcome next week. Also adds how NUFC will be in a very strong position in the transfer market due to FFP rules being relaxed and new finance coming Into the club whilst most other clubs across europe will probably struggle. Bit in bold is what I was expecting after reading the bullet point, as if they would ever see it as a reason to back out. All positive stuff then.

What's your prediction now HTT? Fair play by the way. Personal prediction? This Friday 3.00pm Nah, seriously, it’s gonna happen, everyone just has to be patient and wait. If this was a race, we are sprinting towards the finish line and we are the only runner. And if NUFC stay true to form we are the poor cunt who falls flat on their face before getting 'over the line'. Fair play to you for the donation.

Here's hoping, and if this does happen to fall through, I hope it completely ruins him financially.

Strange they can make this quoted statement yet offer nothing on the takeover itself. We don't need smoke blowing up our arses, that's for them down the road, we want facts and an update. Going all Midhat with shit like that, and I see in here its done its job. I'm not sure there is an update to give at this point.

It's basically what I've thought for years, and probably why mansour tried for us all those years ago. The following, the ground, the city, everything is primed to move the club forward, only the parasite doesn't give a flying fuck about all of that.

Beautiful I'm coming all over You and me both brother.

Basically. Fine by me.

He’s not saying there *is* an issue. Just presenting a few different options for what could be causing a delay. I think people are not reading that tweet with the context of what he was replying to. He quite clearly says there is an issue which wasn't anticipated at the start of last week (when he first said it could be done by Wednesday). Like I said I'm not shitting I the bed, still expect it to go through, but aye... That quote made me think it wasn't going as smoothly as they expected.
-
Surely they were anticipating the Bein thing, which is why the 'issue that wasn't anticipated' is the bit that worried me. Don't think it's anything to do with Bein, as I'd expect them to have seen it coming.
-
Those comments definitely don't seem as confident as the 'it will be done' from last week. 'issue that wasn't anticipated at the start of last week' is worrying to me. Sounds like a concern but not going to shit the bed, just have to wait and see how this plays out now.

It needs added as his for next time he posts.

Christ Definitely found something back there. Looks like a struggle.

What ”things” are going to be going slower? I think the PL's priority is getting the season restarted and any background checks etc are going to take longer. Staveley was told the PRL test could take up to 4 weeks. We are now in the fourth week. You think the takeover will happen this week. And that doesn’t include ”a few days” to transfer the money from the buyer to the seller. So basically it’s not going slower because of the lockdown. It won't all be in PL hands though will it. They'll have to apply to police or whoever to confirm they're not crime, apply to whoever else to verify they're not and have never been banko. Banks will presumably need to verify funds and so on. It's entirely likely that the current circumstances will make that shit take much longer than normal. Has a Saudi prince, Amanda Staveley, the billionaire Reuben brothers or the public investment fund of the state of Saudi Arabia ever been bankrupt should be a pretty fucking easy question to answer. It's the influence over Sheffield United that is the only possible stumbling block. If they were to fail on that point I'd expect that Sheffield United's ownership would change very soon after and then they'd come back in for us. Not sure how it works... But I'm not sure they'll say 'a company in Saudi arabia' will have any influence over Sheff United. We all know who is in charge, but on paper is it actually the Saudi Prince who is being looked into?
