Smoggy at work telling me how Rafa's off to China for £12m and that all 'the talk' was about Mourinho. How about shut up and fuck off.
-
the club have OFFICIALLY announced rafa has left. and what relevance has that got to do with the takeover, none whatsoever Well it has, as the club have just lost a fuckin load of it's worth/attractiveness in Rafa. They might not want Rafa we don't know that, if they do they will renegotiate directly with him. They are in to buy the club not a person so again I say it has no relevance on the takeover 'They might not want Rafa' .... But didn't you just say go off what's been said OFFICIALLY? They haven't said OFFICIALLY they want him. All that has been said officially is that Rafa is going, and the fact is....that reduces NUFC's current worth, a lot. If you can't see how this affects the takeover then fair enough.

I agree with everything apart from the transfer window carry on, I still believe without the takeover rumours, the transfer windows would remain the same. People say it's an excuse not to spend, but he doesn't need an excuse. He's proven time and time again he can do what he wants with little backlash. This will be more apparent than ever once the season begins and Rafa's gone, ticket prices increased, no takeover and the ground is still full.
-
Let it go man. They have no say whatsoever in whether this is the end result. Whether they've spent a lot so far is irrelevant if they can't agree with the person parasite selling.

Sounds like you do understand. Basically what the more sensible lot have thought all along. Genuine takeover attempt (not an MA/KB masterplan), fat mike to pull the rug at some point. Basically it. I still genuinely think there's a strong chance this has been engineered, I don't know the BZG or anyone from it, and I'd rather go with my gut when thinking about what MA and KB would be willing to do. I wholeheartedly agree that takeover rumor or not, the end result in terms of the financial outlay/investment in the club is the same regardless. However, this is Mike Ashley, a man seemingly hell-bent on deliberately misleading and downright antaognising the fan base. With cronies in Sky Sports to peddle whatever plan of the day he wants to peddle. I think he's had it in us for a long time, remember that letter he wrote to the fans about not being able to bring his family because he didn't feel safe at the ground? The guy is willing to bet huge sums on a whim in casinos, what's a hypothetical 5-10m kicker to a previously unknown figurehead Arabian investment company to him to further annoy us even more. It seems to be pretty much his mission in life to antagonise and do whatever he can to the club to 'get back' at the people of Newcastle. Would be ecstatic to be proved wrong, but 10+ years of experience of having takeover after takeover fail when he's 'trying' to sell the club has me pretty much entrenched in not believing a single word written about, let alone from the club. Until I see a press conference at SJP with someone saying they are the owners of the club, I won't believe in literally anything. So whilst I do consider myself sensible, I just have a different viewpoint based on my own values. I woudn't label people who disagree with your point of view as 'unsensible' by inference, forums are for debate and discourse FWIW, I think you're one of the more sensible posters on here. Fair enough, I'm under no illusions as to what fatty is capable of doing, however I really don't think MA/KB have enough clout to pay off BZG to release statements, imagine it somehow came out? What would happen to BZG? Just to string along a fan base for Mike Ashley? I just don't see it. To me they are genuine buyers, fatty is seeing what he can squeeze from them, if he can't get what he wants (which will be a massively over inflated price) he'll close the door. Think we're getting closer to that point now (murmurs of him moving goalposts etc).

How is it wasted because of a potential takeover? Takeover story or not the window wouldn't have went any different.
-
Think it's more the fact that they are looking for a manager when in reality they should be trying to come to a compromise with the best manager we're likely to have for a long time.
-
Well it's not is it. He has connections over there, someone asked what he's heard and that's what he's heard. Just as, if not more, trustworthy as anything you've put up on here.
-
Bugs me a bit this. People aren't unpopular for thinking he doesn't want to sell. If you're referring to the wazzocks talking the same shit with every post, it's because they repeated the same shit over and over, not because of what they think. I'm leaning more towards it not happening now, not because it was never a legit bid, but because i feel like Ashley's getting ready to pull the rug. Especially with wise coming out, that shite on talk sport, the 'revamp' of the academy/back room.... Shola etc. Just makes me think he's covering all bases... 'ah rafa asked for a revamp and we gave him it, he still left'.

Marylands with your cuppa, easy to do a packet in.

A soggy biscuit man if ever i saw one. Once heard that called 'ookie cookie'. Agreed either way, 100% loves to lose as well.

Change the poll to biscuits before the ayes get it.

Our fans are bat shit at times like. Dammit Lee his names on there, false advertisement!! Shit! His name's gone he's off!!
-
Lunatics tbh. What are peoples thoughts on Aldis finest, Moser Roth caramel?
-
Are we just ignoring the fact that lindt, kinder and galaxy are far better than dairy milk? Heathens.
-
Need a sports - redirect type campaign against this.
-
Where does one find the ignore list? Asking for me. EDIT: Never mind
-
Aye... That all has to be factored in to the 50m as well. We all know its not just about funds with rafa as well, it's about the facilities and academy... Which i doubt the fat prick is willing to compromise on. They'll try to make it out as though he wanted more money or some shit.

I’m not sure it’s done like. He might leave it last minute and sign it, knowing if a takeover doesn’t happen then he’s not tied down long-term, and if it happens, he’ll likely get a new contract anyway if we’re doing well. I think the takeover is the reason they have only given him the offer of a one year contract in the first place. Obviously. 1 year extension suits everyone can easliy be extended as soon as the new owners arrive. Gives Rafa the option of leaving at the end of next season if the new owners don’t arrive. Hopefully he extends a year then decides on longterm next year based on if the new owners come in I'm with you on this one and this has been my opinion of the Rafa situation so far. It doesn't suit Rafa if new owners don't come in, he wants a project to build and that's not achieved with a 1 year extension. Why would he risk another year under the parasite on the small hope that he sells up? Again, I hope he doesn't sign up if Ashley stays, no point in yet another year in limbo. A season of watching us getting bummed every Saturday followed by some puppet talking shite isn't for me like. Ill be giving the whole thing a miss. I get how people would still go to games out of (of perhaps misplaced) loyalty, but how much enjoyment can anyone gain from going to matches, week in week out knowing you`ll be either playing for a draw or scraping for a win but most probably loosing. Me either, but the ground will still be full. I follow us by watching on TV every week and this forum, if the worst happens (which is kind of what I expect), I'll be trying to wash my hands of even doing that. I think we can already write off the idea of it being done before his contract is up like. If it does get done, I full expect it to take at least another month or so. Goes without saying that I'd be fucking ecstatic if it happens earlier

Went 1st option, also can't shake the feeling fatty will pull the rug....really hope option 2 doesn't happen.
