Who at the sun is mentioning this 1 year thing? Bit intrigued with it being them who got the heads up about the takeover and now this, which looks like nothing more than an attempt to make Rafa look like he's asking for too much.

I’m not sure it’s done like. He might leave it last minute and sign it, knowing if a takeover doesn’t happen then he’s not tied down long-term, and if it happens, he’ll likely get a new contract anyway if we’re doing well. Previously thought 1 year extension would be a good option for him as it pretty much ensures he doesn't get fucked over too much, but I doubt it's something he'll fancy when it isn't going to be the project he wants. Just means the next season is another ambition-less exercise in staying up, not sure he'll bite. Hope he doesn't as it'll be just enough to keep the masses content. The fact they're only offering this just shows that even with Rafa, we are going to continue limping along doing the bare minimum. Fuck them.

About as much proof as we can expect at this point. Not sure why some people expect everything to be done in public. I still reckon Mike fuckin it all up is a massive possibility, but I don't see the need to just rubbish all the facts that clearly point to something happening. Well, other than trying to score hipster points on an online forum. Er, the club have confirmed nothing. I'm out, you can keep making things up all you like. There was a line in the Chronicle (I know) when BZG released their first statement saying "However, the club have told us that the discussions are genuine". I'm not making anything up. Yes and the club have been found guilty in court of intentionally misleading the press, public and fans. Also, a word in an ear does not equal confirming anything. BZG have claimed to have provided proof of funds. Theres no actual evidence to prove this. True but i bet you think they set up Monochrome acquisitions for a laugh. The club did nothing of the sort because they're not genuine, there's been no serious bid and a takeover won't happen this summer. That's not pessimism - it's the reality staring you in the face.
