  1. @GFN_France: However, we can confirm that casual dialogue between Monaco and Newcastle has begun over the potential signing of Yohan Cabaye. #ASM #NUFC Seems a matter of when not if.
  2. @GFN_France: Re: Cabaye. L'equipe's reports late last night seem to have been premature. #ASM #NUFC
  3. Indeed. Horrible loss whom we'll struggle to replace we won't replace The replacement is Sissoko. This. So this is why Pardew said Anita would get more time

This, would be nice for our fans to show some support for one of our most loyal players at least until we know all the details and the consequences. Most loyal players ? been here a season and a half, he had plenty of time to raise the issue with the club before he deal was sealed. I am not chuffed to see the Wonga logo on our shirts but they are hardly the biggest scum on earth, they offer a service for a price.. welcome to the real world! So you know he hasn't raised the issue before then? No of course not but would seem daft for it to get to this point and still be going on if he had already voiced his disapproval. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-face-wonga-deal-revolt-1370793 Haha thanks Dave. Again.

Ultimately everybody has different thresholds, some will commit some sins yet refrain from others Just to make it clear both interest and gambling is forbidden in Islam, it's not a grey area BUT very clear cut Islam also endorses the subjugation of women, the Bible tells believers to kill non-believers. The fact is, modern religion depends on interpretation, so it's not up to us to dictate to Cisse which parts of Islam to hold dear. and where have I dictated anything to Cisse? Cisse is absolutely free to believe what he wants and practice what he wants BUT was just pointing out that both gambling and interest are forbidden in Islam Some on here are calling him a hypocrite, and I'm just saying that no two people - religious or not- necessarily have to hold the same views. It's up to him whether he equates gambling and payday loans in severity or not.

Unless the club have failed to resolve the issue and so he's felt the need to go to the PFA?

Why would you do that? To show the world he's a hypocritical c*** and all we've ever done at this club is be accommodating for every belief and religion going. He's an absolute arsehole to make a big deal out of this and it's simply down to either he wants to move or wants more money. Wouldn't be so bad if he could hit a barn door from 5 yards. Because the fans turning on him would be really conducive to his happiness and squad morale... Think your reaction is completely over the top given we know very little. For all we know he could have raised his objections back when the Wonga deal was announced and it has only come out now because the issue has been ignored by the club. He strikes me as the least likely of all our players to use an issue like this to engineer a move. Also, there's clearly a difference between personal gambling and what could be perceived as exploitation of the poor and/or pure theft in the eyes of Muslims. Just think you should try and stick by the player, especially someone like cisse who has shown nothing but adoration for the club-and fans particularly- since he arrived. Gambling is far worse. Islam is one of the least transparent religions so it's perfectly feasible that his interpretation is that gambling is a personal decision and his infrequent gambling harms nobody, whilst a burgeoning payday loans industry is regularly screwing people over, often the most vulnerable people. Dont agree that him gambling occasionally makes him a hypocrites, totally different IMO.

I'm pissed off with both parties to be honest- Papiss for being difficult and inconsistent, and the club for being so short-sighted and unaware of the wider implications of their actions.

@lee_ryder: PFA's Bobby Barnes:"If someone feels very, very strongly that it's not compatible with their beliefs, some sort of solution should be found."

@lee_ryder: The PFA are now involved in the Cisse/Wonga issue. #nufc
  15. How so? Must admit I've seen very little of him- only a couple of international games really- but he just seemed to be a seriously creative flair player, which we desperately need to ease the burden on HBA.
  16. @GFN_France: #Belhanda: "Aston Villa is a great club with a big history playing in one of the best leagues in the world. Lets see what happens." #AVFC Belhanda clearly desperate for a move to England, if he's so willing to go to Villa we must stand a good chance of getting him if we bid? Would be brilliant IMO, although isn't a CB or striker...
  17. Selling Tiote and getting this guy in would be great business. Can't see it though, werent United interested among others? Also weren't they quoting £15m or something last summer?
  18. He's the one player at NUFC that I feel genuinely frightens the top teams. He's our only player capable causing havoc against the best. Selling him would be bad because of this, and also the psychologifcal effect it will have on our players, as I'm sure he gives them confidence when he's on the field.
  19. Seeing how many players are demanding a move to a club in Europe, our failure in the transfer market last summer is seeming more and more criminal. we really could have attracted some top talent, yet this summer the lack of Europe seems to be ruining our chances with many players, such as PEA etc.
  20. This. I'm surprised people still harbour hopes of getting him, given the nature of the other interested clubs. Remy and Bony would be great for me, although have seen very little of Bony in truth. Alternatively, I would be happy with one of them and Scott Sinclair
  21. My favourite so far of the 5 January imports. He may be the least gifted of the five but he works so hard, has good pace and seems like a total team player, truly delighted to be at NUFC. He has talent, his pace, directness and movement are all proving to be useful to us and next season I can see him being on the fringes of the first team, grabbing a useful amount of goals and willing to play anywhere in the top three. Love him. Like our own Dirk Kuyt, but quicker and better looking.
  22. laughable isn't it It's just painful now. Er we're losing? Oh that makes a change. So for once I think that substitution was justified Why would you prefer to have Jonas rather than MYM at left back? Personally indifferent about it but his reasoning was obviously that Jonas is a better attacker (questionable but he is a winger after all). Certainly not "moronic" for going more attackig? Just think some criticism is absurd.
