Good barometer as to whether the sale of the club is still on IMO. IF we sell ASM - no chance the club is getting sold.

If PIF eventually get their target, the club would be expected to fund itself. There are no plans to inject huge amounts of cash to fund a splurge in the transfer market.
Booooo - I want a Fantasy Football style splurge

Its already been discussed that Ashley indeed wants compo but he also wants the PL to reconsider the ODT result in NUFC favour.
Source: the CAT websites.
But I have feeling that some people just dont want to acknowlegde that and keep going with their narative that Ashley just wants compo, so they can keep going with their "take over is never happen" negativity.
Of course he wants that - then it's win win for him - compo and a sale of the club.
But him 'wanting' means nothing in the grand scale of things. Ashley hasn't suddenly become Robin Hood - he's only interested in one thing - himself. He has seen a chance to make some money and he's taken it. Do you really think he Is spending his own cash just in the 'hope' that it 'may' bring the buyers back to the table?
I am not trying to be negative just realistic. Yes I am happy he's taking the PL to court as there is no doubt in my mind that the big six put pressure on the PL to block the sale. My point is if he wins his case - it doesn't mean the club will then be sold. All it means the people running the PL are the shady people we all suspected and Ashley walks away with a fat cheque. Newcastle United are still at the same point - 'hoping' the buyers come back to the table.

I still don't get the link between this and the takeover. Sounds like Ashley wants compensation and will get it if he wins. How does that help the club?

Advantage should go the attacker - onside for me.

Sounds like the real Manager of Leicester is some teenage kid ?

Some of the fear of Fulham was a bit silly really. We were never going down.
You say that but we had an awful run and Fulham were playing the far better football. We got lucky - ASM returning from injury in the nick of time and Joe Willocks goals.

It’s not simply about financial compensation- it is also to get the PL to apply and provide a result for the owners/directors test which they failed to give a verdict on for months. Do you seriously think PIF aren’t still there in the background in all this?
Honestly I have no idea - but what I do know if Ashley wins his case he is the only 'guaranteed' winner in this. We're still reliant on 'hope' that it re-awakens the interest of PIF.

If Fulham don't win we're safe right?

Absolutely.
What is making people more confident the takeover is happening? I am curious.
If Ashley wins his case he will get a payout - how does that benefit the club? There is no guarantee PIF will come back in.

Are we absolutely certain the disclosure stage will unearth documentation that will prove collusion and corruption? Do we know for a fact that that has actually happened? Or is it just an assumption given the fact the takeover was never rubber stamped for reason unbeknown to any of us?
I guess we'll find out - I have a feeling there will be. If the ESL has taught us anything it is how arrogant these big clubs can be.

Positive Optimism?....let me think.....erm.......

He's our best club asset - if PIF agreed to pay £300mil then surely they'll expect the best player as part of that deal.
