  1. It just seems far too far-fetched to suggest we've all been played. I'm sure there's shenanigans of some description, but it can't all be a rouse; what would be the point, for any party?

My theory: PCP contacted the club about possible interest well before the mid October announcement putting the club up for sale officially. We know this to be true because Staveley had been at the Liverpool two weeks earlier, and in the statement there were references made to dilligence periods, so it's fair to assume something was brewing before Ashley showed his hand. I don't think it's therefore hard to imagine how Keith Bishop devised a plan to use the interest to Ashley's advantage regardless of him ever actually being prepared to sell. Let's face it, Ashley had absolutely nothing to lose by doing this. Either it would result in an offer too good to refuse or it would take the heat of him and allow him to get away with spending as little as possible in the January transfer window, which is exactly what seems to be happening. I.e. Amanda Staveley doesn't have to be actually "in" on it - she's probably getting played by Bishop and Ashley like we all are and have been for the past 10 years.

Who's letting Ashley get away with spending as little as possible due to the potential takeover like?, who are these people?  I'm not, I don't see anyone here who is apart from the occasional loon.  Also if this is the aim why has he ended it with 15 days of the transfer window remaining?  As a plan to allow him not to spend during this window its not only ridiculously over elaborate but incredibly pointless/ineffective.  It also ignores the fact that he really just doesn't give a f***ing s*** about what we think of him.

Media - most of the talk has been about takeover and it's 'impact' on this window.  If it wasn't happening all the focus would have been on Ashley/Rafa's lack of funds.

  3. It's all off now like, no matter what he claims about it still being for sale etc. Fact is this was the only show in town, and he's publicly humiliated them and essentially told them to f*** off.

Once the new TV deal is announced and a couple of signings help keep us up, his valuation will go up once again. There's nobody else offering even what PCP are.

    It's over.

It was only ever for sale in the sense that if someone was willing to offer him a 'stupid' amount of money he'd sell.  He was never going to sell if for it's 'true' worth - he's way too horrible and greedy for that.  He just like messing with out minds.

  4. Am sure I'm being robbed of some points..

Got Christensen from Chelsea in my team and according to the BBC he came on in the 1st half at 33 mins..so played a min 12mins in the 1st half - second half played 45+(5mins ET)  - which gives a total of 62 mins played and 6 points.  But they have him playing 57mins so 1 point. :hmm:

  5. They had players to bring on and try and win it, we didn't. Don't think we sat back so much as we were pushed back, another 10 minutes and we would've lost imo.

Rafa is trying to keep a Championship team in the Premier League, think we would be sunk already without him.

Unless he wasn't fit to play a part, Murphy should have been given time to drive at them. To not even use our final sub suggests we were happy with the point.

Could it be politics? We all know Ashley gambles on us surviving - if we got three points where we would be tenth?  That's Ashley in dreamland and zero chance of funds being provided.
