Played like a seasoned pro, not a 20 year old that’s just missed basically a whole season of football. Doku will go on to rinse the best right backs in the world, such a quick turn and acceleration on him but he was handled well.

Over the moon with Gordon. I was pleased with the signing, proud that he’s now put that sour end to his time at Everton and took the challenge on to fit in with what’s required here.

I don't know if its been discussed already, but did he pick up a knock at the end of the Milan game, or just cramp? Seemed to be signalling that he wanted to come off, then we brought Barnes on and he was very loose with possession.

No issue with the release clause, if a club bids that then he's obviously playing in a way that benefits the team greatly. Selling allows us to strengthen, it's going to become necessary with a big player every now and again.

It may well come to pass that we sell him for less than his clause, players have a lot of power.

Quite clear to me from the footage that the team has landed and settled and the city of Milan is feeling the after effects of a Dan Burn roar. 

Most cliche thing to say ever but we need to take our chances when they come, I expect them to dictate the tempo and put us under pressure for long periods. We’ve got a good chance, if we win it won’t quite be the upset it will be made out to be.

Maguire has been largely excellent for England and formed a good partnership with Stones, which people seem to forget. Out of the ones who get picked no matter what, he is the most justifiable. 

I personally think Sarina is the frontrunner to take over from Southgate.
