  1. Messi hasn't helped defensively since about 2011 Not sure what you were expecting
  2. I've found it way less exciting tbh. The knockouts in the last few years have been amazing with all the second leg comebacks
  3. I wonder do the Barca defence actually do anything in training? Their line is hilarious
  4. Valverde did a very good job really
  5. Barca should try appointing a proven world class manager for once
  6. Roma got bought for €600m a few weeks ago. At last it looks like Ashley actually badly wants to sell
  7. Man City and PSG are already the elite. Just a matter of time before they win it. There's no difference whatsoever between them winning it and Barca/Man Utd winning it even if you take away any issues with their ownership. It just drives the price of competing up all the time and further limits the good players to those clubs
  8. If it wasn’t PSG knocking them out it’d have just been a Real Madrid/Bayern Munich/Barcelona. They were 5 mins away from knocking one of the richest clubs out of the CL last night to set up a quarter final against Leipzig. Could easily have made the final and who knows what might happen in one game . He's also complaining about Atletico who amazingly beat both Barca and real to 1 league title on 1/4 of their budget and were mins away in 1 CL final from winning it. Nut's lesson is that unless you have enough money to sustain being one of the best, don't even bother trying and let the state owned and traditional clubs get on with it
  9. I don't even really mind RB Leipzig that much tbh. Don't spend that much, have a nice brand of football, funded by an energy drink not a country
  10. Were you pleased PSG beat Atalanta last night? Wasn’t arsed either way tbh. I like how Atalanta play and what they’ve done. Just for what’s going on at the minute though I’d like PSG or City to win it. Of course it’d have been nice for someone like Atalanta to win the thing but it’s harder realistic. Leicester making it to the last 8 in their run was fun too and you’ll no doubt get the odd exception every half a decade or so that have the audacity to sneak top 3/4 in their respective leagues and have a canny run. Since the mid 90s, there’s been maybe two instances (Borussia & Porto) where a club you wouldn’t have thought would win the CL have won it. That suits the established clubs perfectly. Chelsea, City & PSG slipped through the net but it seems clearer than ever (FFP for instance) that they don’t want too many others threatening them. For that reason alone I’d be happy seeing PSG and Man City upsetting them for a few years. Its not an odd exception. An unfancied team makes the quarters/semis basically every year
  11. f*** no I'm sick to the back teeth of Bayern Real Madrid and Barca could they kindly f*** off and let us have some f***ing variety in the champions league rather than the same old s*** over and over again Man City and PSG are as boring as any of those clubs. Both of them have been ever presents for ages now and the biggest contribution they've both made is losing hilariously
  12. So just add PSG and Man City to that and it's all fine now. PSG pay Neymar more than Atalanta pay their whole squad. Those last minute equaliser and winners last night must have really warmed the cockles of your heart
  13. Lets make football a battle of which horrendous Middle Eastern regime is best at running a football club
  14. Don't mind Leipzig as much as PSG and Man City but it's really shaping up to be a semi final line up of horrendous clubs
  15. This is critical to their vision 2030. Not a chance that if this is revived PIF aren't the majority shareholders. You think the purchase of NUFC is 'critical' to transforming the economy of Saudi Arabia and reducing its dependency on oil revenue? So many of you have a completely distorted understanding of the importance of this deal. The Saudis are in the process of imposing unprecedented austerity measures on their population. There is no appetite for this any more. They did that 3 months ago. You realise that the reason they're looking at buying a football club is to attempt to diversify? Their economic collapse is even more reason to do so! They aren't going to make money off owning us though? Unless they run it like Ashley does
  16. It's not gonna be about making money for them like. It's about getting the Saudi brand out there
  17. I like how much Neymar annoys people That pass for the winner is phenomenal
  18. Paredes is miles better than Herrera
  19. Neymar here reminds me of Messi with Argentina
  20. They have the 13th highest wage bill in Serie A. Its absolutely remarkable
