  1. How did I miss him! Easily the best in the division. He's probably gained LVG 20 points this season.
  2. Who's been the most impressive players of the season, still another quater to go but I have it like this so far. http://www.footballuser.com/formations/2016/03/1424034_Dream_Team.jpg I struggled at fullback positions, and also left the likes of Lukaku,Eriksen,Alli,Reid,De Bruyne,Aguero,Cresswell. 3. So to clear this up if anyone can help, Raffa on 3yr deal, As manager full control? And back room have all gone except Cathro. Is Carr next? Where does that leave him, he's role is redundant if Rafa is in control of player recruitment. If anyone can elaborate cheers
  4. They leave him as head coach, employ Raffa as manager, and tell him he can hire and fire so Raffa does Charnleys job for him. Pussy.
  5. Think this could go tits up. I can't see how his demands will be met on a 3yr deal if reports are true. We have to many selfish tossers like Carr on the board, If Rafa is after his own backroom and to be named manager and total control, where does that leave Carr? Would love a double firing. Because Charnley isn't gonna need advising if Benitez has control. Makes Carr's role redundant. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/03/10/rafa-benitez-set-for-final-newcastle-talks/ This story ↑↑↑ is of concern.
  6. When will they announce McClaren has gone?
  7. Are we looking at another 24hrs ? Getting stupid now. Sack him and just let Cathro & Simpson take care until Benitez/Moyes come in. Why hang onto this tit for Leicester you're guaranteed 0 points, it's highly unlikely given our playing staff don't care, but it wouldn't surprise me if we got something with the assistants. Just either come out and tell us he's staying and we can accept relegation with Villa. Or just get rid and get on with it. How many days now since Bournemouth battered us? This fool should have been gone instead of treated to a trip abroad after Chelsea. So annoying this club.
  8. Maybe we wouldn't have to re-hire him? I was thinking this through last night. I think the reason for the delay just might be that they want to keep him on and are waiting to see who we get, and whether McClaren will accept it. They just might have stitched McClaren up contracturally with the title Head Coach, allowing them to restructure and bring in a Manager above him without McClaren able to do them for constructive dismissal. I think it's fairly well accepted that the new man (if there is one) will most likely only come in for 10 games. The chances of him bringing his own team in for that time are slight. They may be already in work and wouldn't leave a given job for one which might end after 10 games. The club will also want to avoid ditching the existing team team with over two years left on their contracts and will want some continuity to provide a smoother transition for the critical final ten games. McClaren's salary is apparently 700k a year, so we would owe him somewhere in the region of 1.6-1.7 million to pay him off. The players do suport the generally held belief he is a good coach but at the moment Simpson and Cathro are taking most of the sessions. Maybe they see him as suited to the Championship and would do what they did with Shearer/Hughton if we dropped. i.e. have him support the new man as head coach, but save themselves 1.7 million should we actually drop by having a ready made championship manager on the books for that eventually. If we stay up they will then have no qualms in sacking him if they believe the new man (who will then want his own coaching team longer term) to be the way to go as 1.7 million plus the cost of the contracts of Simpson and Cathro will be small change compared to what we will have saved. To me that seems the most logical reason for not sacking him at the moment. As daft as that sounds wasn't he quoted saying "I believe in that dressing room there are enough performances in the last 10 games," he said. "I don't care who the manager is but the club will get out of this." If you were gonna get sacked, you wouldn't be arsed if we stay up or not? I don't care who's going to be above me? Is that what he's saying....
  9. As if Benitez is ever coming to nufc. Where do they get this, if he does he must be so desperate or Fatman has done a total u turn and offered silly money, either way it would have to be short term so he could get rid after he keeps us up, then look for another monkey who he can pay peanuts too. Why not? Keep us up and he's boosted his reputation massively. We go down and everyone knows it's not his fault, he'll leave in the summer win-win for someone like him Sam I bet it doesn't happen. And like I said Ashley would only do it short term, and if he did keep us up, he wouldn't pay the going rate so we would be back to the dregs of footballing society again. If I'm wrong I'll eat my words.

  11. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/650765/Newcastle-board-decision-Steve-McClaren-sacked-Premier-League-transfer-news Another 24hrs according to that ↑↑↑
  12. Just read that the board met today in York without McClaren, he is expected to take training as normal then will meet afterwards with Charnley & co to learn of his fate. Guess tomorrow will be the day he's axed. Another day of anticipation. Hope it's a decent replacement, or an immediate one. Wouldn't be best pleased with Cathro & Simpson taking us to Leicester, or even worse the Derby, surley they have to move asap.
  13. Let's take Leicester as a loss, should we lose yet another Derby, would you not take that as we're gone? Someone must be appointed asap. If he stays we're gone anyway but yeah two more losses and that's it for me like Im the same. This week is make or break, really should have been fixed already.

  15. What the hell is going on? Why is our board such a weak embarrassment. All this crap of Ashley is ruthless, nothing ruthless about anything just a bunch of bottling Fannie's. Tell this tw*t to just f*ck off and leave. Such a soap opera everything we do.
  16. Present what case? I'm shit, we are 19th, the players are not keen on me, the fans now hate me, I'm ginger, have horses teeth, and I'm a fucking idiot at pre & post match press and media events. Oh I'll do my best not to relegate the team, can't guarantee it though. By the way have you heard my Brit in Holland accent. Thanks.
  17. Looks like Carr & Charnley that image
  18. Yep, go for not who will realistically get. Just I'm interested to know where those now 85 votes would be without unrealistic names on the list.
  19. I know this will sound disrespectful but 83 votes for Rafa shows the delusion still among our fans. If it's hope fair enough I'd hope he would join, but simple fact is he would never work for us. Would have been a better poll with him not in it, to grasp some reality.
  20. Doing same on mobile refresh. You think they would be kind enough to do it during our dinner hours so we can go about the rest of the day really happy.
  21. Any news on an announcement? We have our own massive crisis here, and everyone is still infatuated with Alan Pardew.
  22. So many of his former players have said the same thing about McClaren. It was a disastrous appointment, and one that would only be made by people who know nothing about football. Oh yes, of course. But I just think Shearer is limited to what he can say, I'm sure they have discussed it before going on air and I'm sure watching in the BBC studio hecwould have been saying all sorts. Maybe Keown said it and yes I have also heard it before, when he was England manager a number of players said he was like having an extra mate on the field training and not a senior figure instructing.
  23. Wasn't Hughton dismissed due to siding with players over bonuses. Not cos of results.
  24. Hope he's not offered a new deal, still never learns. Last week was crap, still diving around like a nobhead being snipered, and generally a bellend.
  25. He was given a target, cup run & finish top 8. Neither achieved,no target met, bought in own back room, had assurances of a place on board and input into transfer recruitment. He was certainly behind or influencing in the recent window, those before had been pre lined up upon his arrival. He's managed to get nothing right. They have every right to fire him and possibly based on the contract he signed should he fail to make the targets set, they could have inserted clauses that he wouldn't get the full compo based on agreeing to deliver what was required.
