Well, Domenc Torrent that takes over is so much more qualified than Viera.. Let us see how it turns out
-
Unlikely as Short would kiss goodbye to the parachute money they got coming in..
-
So how do other clubs like Man City get away with spending more? Clubs at the top earn much more.. Hence they can spend more
-
Yeap, the main hurdle which will make it completely unfeasible is that cost of it will likely to be £50m+ which for another 8k-9k seats makes no commercial sense unless we jack ticket prices up and demand outstrips supply. The latest Etihad expansion had a cost of about £50m for about 7k new seats, the club mentioned that it would take almost ten years to recover the money but after that it was all profit. It did of course mean that there was extra space for corporate hospitality though..

PCP could sign a letter of intent, I understand that was the process for the Man City sale. Yup.. The actual takeover took place a month or so later. But "everyone" knows that City was sold on deadline day. At City it was talks followed by being given numbers and then there was a letter of intent. Followed by due deligence followed by a bit of horsetrading as there was an iffy £25m debt before everything was signed.

How do you market something using stands..?
-
Hmpf.. The Etihad was known as City of Manchester Stadium before, a name no one liked so it was just called Eastlands or even Wastelands before becoming The Etihad. It would feel really odd calling it something else like "Nissan Stadium" or whatever now.
-
Well, that´s a typical Rafa team I guess... Hard to break down I mean
-
You had to make up a name?.. Ahmed bin AL Maktoum Nah, The guy you want is Sheikh Mohammed bin rashid al-maktoum.. Ahmed is just an executive working for the Emir
-
Loophole..? No one could afford to build a stadium if they had to earn that money in advance. The big "loophole" is of course sponsorships.. Let us assume that Sheikh Mo from the Maktoum family wants NUFC, given that he controls Emirates Airways that sponsor Arsenal to the tune of £30m p.a we might expect something similar for NUFC at a guess.

Infrastructure is outside all FFP calculations..
-
Forget him.. It´s simply not possible Why? If Mansour can buy Man City then why not? Because that´s Mansours elder brother..
-
Forget him.. It´s simply not possible

According to Business for Dummies 60 days. 3-6 weeks more likely..

http://www.standingalone.co.uk/manchester-city-201718-season-ticket-prices-my-outrage-at-the-meagre-rises/ They are similar to what you pay at Old Trafford or Anfield.. Hardly odd I guess. But yeah it´s more expensive than it used to be but on the other hand is the football much better as well. What people in general complain about is the extra costs.. Flying around in Europe, Wembley tickets for the whole bloody family, hotel included etc etc.
-
Ain´t that the Maktoums place.. ? The family that rules Dubai and are involved in horseracing and such.

Liverpool have knocked her back twice, even after she offered £1.2bn. I'm still not clear whether it's her offering £1.2bn or she's doing it on behalf of some other party. If she is looking to buy a club personally then she'd want Liverpool I'd have thought, since that's the club she supports. Why would she want to spend a daft amount on a club which she doesn't follow? I´m sure she represents someone else.. She doesn´t buy things to own herself, she buy stuff for her clients. One of them is the Qatari Royal Family apparently. Please can her interest be true, have some sort of substance. I can´t see an international investment banker like Mrs Staveley that spend half the year in the gulf and the other half in London visiting St.James on a whim.. She was here for a reason even if it might have been for all the wrong reasons as far as I know.

Maybe like a 10 year plan, new training ground, stadium expansion, multiple transfer windows etc. Or it´s like the MCFC blueprint. Buy the club, get the players and sort out the club infrastructure when that is done you start the real property developments.. Like building 6000 new homes in east Manchester that is being done.
-
Oh Amanda could sort it out no sweat.. She got the ears of the gulf money men. But from that to actually recommend NUFC as a project to her clients.
-
It took a month really.. But there was a "Letter of intent" signed on deadline day so the club could bid for players.
-
That´s big if true.. Really big
