Well, the club like almost everything else in Wolfsburg is funded by Volkswagen... The town was founded by VW to be honest, originally it was named "Stadt des KDF-wagen" but later the local castle gave name to the town.

Odd really.. It doesn´t rhyme with the "Ashley business as usual" modus operandi does it? Got a feeling that someone else is calling the shots, is Linda Ashley back with Mike for real I ask myself. She was good at bossing him around the tabloids hinted at.

Man Utd under Alex Ferguson comes to mind..

Played for City & Derby in the 80's/90's and been knocking around as manager/assistant to a few lower league clubs. Might have been at Carlisle with Garde Yay! watched him in the 80´s at a lot of games.. He was a total disaster as a lower league manager though so keep him in just a coaching role He was certainly no disaster at Carlisle, winning promotion 2 seasons in a row. Also found this on wiki "He was also named as the League Two Manager of the Year and in the League Managers Association statistics was the best manager in the country on points per game above Rafael Benítez". I was mostly thinking about Stockport where he outperformed your Carver in regards to avoiding winning games

I disagree, ultimately each club employs a manager and supposedly trusts their opinion and knowledge of football, so back that trust by letting him have the final say on the players he will be working with day in day out. If you don't trust the managers opinions on football to that extent why the f*** are you employing him then. Apart from Arsene Wenger I can´t say that there are any real managers left.. At all clubs there are transfer committees with 3-5 people all having their say about new players. At City as an example it´s the head coach, the DoF, the head scout, the CEO and someone else I forgot that decide on new players

Given the £1m compensation that posters on here have mentioned I assume that McClaren was adamant that he wanted Carver&Co out..
-
Steve and Austin to turn up today?.. Would be a good start at least
-
There us USA and Germany, nothing compares with them when it comes to womens footy.. Africa have a long way to go yet before they can do something like Japan did
-
Damn! Why don't we have these kind of ITKs?! Was 70/1 yesterday I think..
-
Announcing that he have accepted the job offer from Mike Ashley and will lead Newcastle to glory as the new manager..
-
His twitter account (@OfficialVieira) have been silent for a week... He might of course just relax with his family
-
You have to be a raving lunatic to start your career with one of the three big Istanbul clubs... People are mental there
-
Yeah but enough about Liverpool...
-
But it looks like we might expect some news this week?...
-
How come that guy Edwards have been saying it´s McCLaren at any opportunity..? He got an agenda?
-
Game over. No Vieira. Doubt Luke Edwards knows any more than us. It´s just guesswork...

The biggest Manchester City forum is missing from the list.. http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/

Don´t think so.. Mark Hughes replaced Carr with some mate and that was when PV was with Inter
-
I know, but he might have someone he has in mind as a trusted #2. Hopefully it would be someone absolutely class who he's played with. I can just see it: Patrick Vieira: Put your boots on TH, we are on pitch unless we score soon... Thierry Henry: Right boss..
-
Low-ish salary he might be OK with, maybe also not having 100% control of transfers (he might not even want that). I reckon the coaching situation will be the blocker, when he's forced to take Carver and Stone instead of his own staff. He don´t have any staff.. yet As for money he got enough I´m sure, but I say that he would want to rebuild how NUFC operates in some ways.. Beardsley and him might have much to talk about for instance.
-
You don´t think that Vieira have been in contact with a number of French players at NUFC to get their view?.. I´m sure he have
-
As people have mentioned here, no one.. not the clubs or Vieira himself are denying anything. It ought to mean something surely?

No one got a regular place in the squad but 6-8 players featured in different games during the season I think. We might also notice that among players out on loan Rekik was a regular for the league winning PSV side, Guidetti and Denayer won the league in Scotland (Yeah, I know, one horse race) otherwise I´d say that players like Pozo or Lopes would walk into most mid table squads in the prem. Guidetti seems like he has been around forever but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere, he was supposed to be the next huge thing was he not? He´s 22 y.o I think.. but I expect him to end up in France or Holland, not prem quality I´d say.
