Nail your colours to the mast - where will we finish?

I did have a theory a few years ago that Newcastle's bad luck was down to the many times we started the league table at 13th, depending on what clubs are in the league. -

I voted 7th I have no logical way to justify that other than 7th stuck out and blind optimism. What I will say though is the difference between this squad and the one that went down is now we have a team, whereas before it was all individuals. We can score from corners and freekicks when it looked alien to us before. Its going to be a long hard season and I will be happy to just stay up, but I think with all the money spent in the PL there will be a lot of players that need time to settle in with some of the other clubs. Maybe giving us a little advantage. -
I do like De Jong but he still only made 19 apps for PSV last season, so its whether Ayoze or Diame plug the gap or do we go for someone else.

Just to add anyone who doubts Rafa is pissed off.. our owner is on record offering investment bankers DOF roles at the club when he is pissed up. Kinda gives the Joe Kinnear story of him getting offered the job in a pub and just turning up a little bit of credence.
-
Rafa is usually a very open bloke.. dont get why we are trying to fuck him about. This Barnes bloke is LameArse mark II We're going around in circles.

My uncle Jim once told me "If you can leave your home town, your friends and your family it will open your eyes and make you a man." And that makes coming home all the sweeter ..... Ahl brave the dark at St. James's Park, At the Gallowgate End in the rain, Ahm coming home.. It's a bit of an anthem in our house, my 6yo loves it.. she was disappointed however to find out after 3 years that mackems dont actually wear bin bags for clothes. Eh? Am I being whooshed? Have I forgotten a verse of Coming Home Newcastle? Or what? That was just something I told her when she was 3 and kept it up for a few years I owned up after I showed her this.

My uncle Jim once told me "If you can leave your home town, your friends and your family it will open your eyes and make you a man." I left my hometown seven years ago and my balls still haven't dropped. To be fair Iv been living in Norway for 10 years and Im still going through puberty.

while i'm obviously not saying you're right this scenario would explain a lot aye It's the only explanation that makes sense (if anything makes sense in ashley owned era). Then surely Rafa wouldn't be getting frustrated, and more importantly the stories about his future wouldn't keep surfacing because it seems clear to me that he is the one leaking this to the media to put pressure on the club. There will be a lot of journo's who typically like to wind up Toon fans because they know we bite.. but we're dallying as a club and risk getting left even further behind. Also Mike Ashley has previous when it comes to feigning selling the club. It could also be this Barnes bloke just hasnt got a clue when it comes to negotiating deals for players if it is indeed left to him.
-
Clement has had links with Chelsea since 2000 as well as being assistant manager and 1st team coach for them.
-
Mike Ashley comes out and says Rafa can have every last penny the club has to spend on players, knowing full well he has a fuckwit like Justin Barnes to put the blockers on it. Smell exactly like the same shite as when LameArse was in charge.
-
Dont get why they'd start pissing him about.. we are back in the PL just need to build a squad.
-
Alan? Maybe we've only got a tenner to spend then. Obviously you're taking the piss.. but just incase you didnt know its this guy. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/who-newcastle-united-fixer-justin-13194757

Its all since this Barnes bloke came in, put the block in January and now we're being slow as f**k. We had no problems last summer with spending.
-
I actually like it.

Id save myself a few quid and not buy one of those training tops.. He's only had it a day ;D ;D http://i65.tinypic.com/ta0q2x.png Unless they are air holes

Seen rumours of Martin Skrtel.. a Rafa type signing experienced Premier League defender. I wonder if that is the hold up with Florian Lejeune.
-
Tammy Abraham to Swansea will be because of Paul Clement who was a youth coach, senior coach and assistant manager of Chelsea.

Its this Ashley's right hand man that worries me.. he came in December and no deals were made. It was reported deals have to go through him and he is trying to make the club look attractive to investors. (Which loosely translates to only buying players with resale value.) We were supposed to be in talks with investors, then it was we are trying to attract investment. Sounds like Mike is up to his old shenanigans. But as pointed out our first signing last year was 28th of June and then we went on to sign 12? or something like that. Maybe its something to do with the books.
-
Would be a good signing but the fucking The S*n man.. that rag needs to be confined to the dustbins.
-
Transfers still have to go through Mike Ashley's right hand man.. I cant see us signing players unless they have resale value. That said Carr leaving could be the start of something different.
-
In Norway you used to get all 3pm Saturday games on TV but got changed to just a couple because of all the streaming. Isnt the worry for clubs that every game live would kill attendances?
-
He just usually reports media stories.. which we know from ours is largely bollox
-
I didnt think of of that.. how very astute.
