  1. We already have most of his information ie medical scans and what not.
  2. I think the worry with everyone is the stories coming about about Ashley a few weeks back, pretty certain someone on this site claimed Carr seemed perplexed when asked about Murphy signing. Its pretty much us just expecting the worst. We will find out in the summer if the club try to force signings on Rafa that he doesnt want. You would think Palace would want Townsends wages off the bill so maybe its just down to haggling to see which club takes it up the arse.
  3. If its on loan with no obligation to buy then I dont see a problem. We can see what he is like over the next 5 months, if he is a bit shite then we can buy a better player if we are promoted.
  4. From Red Cafe This is a good little read, from Steve Bacon, from when Pardew was at West Ham, just in case you had any apprehension as to whether or not Pardew is a t***: “I don’t like Alan Pardew. There, I’ve said it. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever known a more arrogant person in my life. We never got on from the first moment we met – and our relationship deteriorated from there. There was one occasion when I threatened to stick a fork in his hand. I was sort of joking, but there were definitely times when I felt like swinging at him. Or telling him to fork off, if you follow my drift.” “Let me tell you a story. In fact, it’s called the ‘King story’ among those who were present and who believe it’s a perfect example of Pardew’s arrogance. We were staying at a hotel in the North East ahead of a game at Sunderland during Alan’s first season in charge and were about to have our Friday evening meal. The players were restricted to boiled chicken or pasta, or suchlike, whereas the rest of the West Ham party had the choice of the entire menu. I sat down with Pardew, kit manager Eddie Gillam, physiotherapist John Green and fitness coach Tony Strudwick, who now works for Manchester United and has done very well for himself. We ordered our meals and suddenly Pardew asked us all what we were having. I think Eddie said he’d gone for the chicken, while I’d chosen the steak. Pards then turned to Struds, who revealed whatever it was he’d asked for. ‘That sounds good,’ said Pards. ‘Tell you what; if yours is better than mine when it turns up, I’m having that.’ That was one of the things he’d always say: I’m having that. ‘See that bloke’s haircut? I’m having that.’ He said it all the time. Anyway, I wasn’t ‘having that’ at all. So I said, ‘Well, you’re certainly not having my dinner. You’ll get a fork in the back of your hand!’ Pardew sort of laughed, before turning back to Struds and saying, ‘Yeah, if yours is better than mine, I’m having that.’ Our meals eventually arrived and Pards looked at Tony and said, ‘Yeah, I was right, yours definitely looks much better than mine; I’m having that.’ And he went to swap the plates over. ‘You can’t do that!’ I said. ‘What do you mean?’ he asked. ‘You can’t just take somebody else’s dinner,’ I said in disbelief. And he replied, without any hint of a joke, ‘When you’re the King, you can do anything.’ Eddie, Tony, John and I just looked at each other and there was an uncomfortable silence for a moment. Struds was a nice guy but he could be a bit of a ‘yes man’ at times and so he just allowed Pardew to swap the plates. However, the rest of us were flabbergasted by it all and we ended up discussing what had happened in the bar. Alan kept a straight face when referring to himself as ‘the King’ and I just couldn’t believe the arrogance of the man.”
  5. I think Rafa is missing a trick.. Gayle and Mitro would dominate this league. Mitrovic winning headers and holding up the ball bringing Gayle into play would be more effective than either Perez or Diame in the number 10 imo. But according to a lot of of LFC fans he wont deviate from the the plan and play 2 upfront. I saw a lot of pumping balls into the box the last few games and no one there to really win it. I still think Rafa is the dogs and this formation will pay dividends in the Premier League.
  6. I want to see Mitro winning balls and bringing Gayle into play.. Ayoze is out of form and Diame has been rather hit and miss.
  7. A cracking read about the lad. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/10/28/aleksandar-mitrovic-my-father-said-i-would-be-a-criminal-or-a-ki/ Apologies if its already been posted.
  8. Anyone expecting a walk over on Saturday, their top scorer wasnt playing and they probably left a few more out. Would expect a more competitive game at the weekend, but we should still win.
  9. Love Mitro.. go on lad bang a hattrick to stick it up some of the butthurt c***s in this thread
  10. Got Danish commentators on the match Im watching, it actually sounds very familiar. Dont understand everything they are saying, but swear there is a bit Geordie in there
  11. There was a report not so long ago that Rafa's start at Real Madrid was exactly the same as Zidane's for games and CL wins. Players with too much fame and money dont want to be managed, they want to be told how great they are.
  12. Dont get why Atsu was taken off or why Dummet and Colback started, but we won so you cant really argue with the outcome. Good win and onto the next.
  13. Cant see why Dummett, Diame and Colback are playing obvious weak links.
  14. Well this didnt last too long
  15. Have to say he does seem to have a canny knack of nicking the ball from defenders in their half.
  16. If you change a team after you win 6-0 obviously some of the players wont have the same momentum. It drove some Liverpool fans crazy, it probably will with us as well. But the number one goal is promotion, doesn't really matter how we achieve it as long as we do it.
  17. I suppose it gives Rafa an excuse to make more changes and bring new players into the team on Tuesday. I judge each game as it comes, Im not a huge fan of changing things for the sake of it but Iv also never managed a team to a league or champions league win. Rafa said he would make mistakes and we will just have to live with it. Roll on Tuesday.
  18. of course. You'd think we were headed for another relegation the way some carry on. You win and people are happy, you lose and they are not. Its a fact of life and people dont agree with certain things, thats football isnt it? all about opinions.
