Gordon couldn't manage consistency here with relatively little pressure after his first full season . He's in for a big shock at Barcelona where the focus will be huge . He'll also need to stop that cutting infield early in the move as it narrows the play, it's as bad a tick for him as ASM's stepovers. Gordon's best games tended to come when we had less of the ball and were looking to break or counter. He's not as effective when the team's sat in which will be the case with most of the teams he'll face. The slower game will suit his pace however and he'll get more change out of ref's as well there mind.

The reason I'm currently a bit undecided on Eddie is when you watch other team at stages of their development, Arsenal under Arteta, Liverpool under Klopp for example , you could see the plan but they didn't have the personnel. Rice and Gyokeres for Arsenal and various players for Liverpool fitted the tactics of both managers and clubs perfectly for what they trying to play and achieve . This season seems like Eddie's been ripping pages out of the Uefa coaching manual to try then it doesn't work and he goes fuck that, hoys the page away and grabs another. Then 2 weeks later he's rummaging in the bin going where's that page with the back three on again. There's not a vision on where we're going or what we're working towards and again based on football history that always spells trouble.

Not having this. Out of order from several people , he's been a tremendous servant , helped save us and then helped us win the first trophy in generations . It's definitely time for him to be either moved on or be back up only (certainly nowhere near a full back role) and a lot of the problems with him are down to the manager but he's been as important as Bruno or Trippier in the last few years.

No service , whilst Howe shuffled the players behind like he's a dealer at the blackjack table. Worked hard on a scorching day , there was a lot of problems the day but he wasn't one of them.

Like Nuno and would rather have seen Spurs go but at least we don't have to hear that fucking bubbles song next season .

And both have struggled minutes whilst some players who played like they couldn't give a fuck at times (Gordon chief among them) were guaranteed starters .

Should be doing a refund for the travelling supporters. Team weren't arsed and the manager was picking formations out of a fucking hat.

Huge job for Eddie . I'm far from one of the most reactionary but I'm tired of seeing us just be a fucking mess time and again . I'm also tired of seeing some very good players hampered by stupid managerial decisions. If we don't start the season well this is going to turn very ugly.
