  1. 1-10 rating is a linear scale, so this make little sense.
  2. Signing Barnes would be about reliability and flexibility in my view. The last 5 seasons he played 40 or more games in 4 of them. He's a right footed left winger. Combine that with his impressive goals/exp goals stats for a winger, then at the right price this seams like a no-brainer.
  3. It's causing me to grind my teeth at night.
  4. Still finding it hard to fathom that he'll be a Newcastle player, he was suppose to be at Milan his whole career. Such a coup.
  5. Soon I think their partnership will just be known as the "Bruno Tonali"...
  6. Yeah I agree, he won't progress the ball like Bruno. But I think he is far more composed than Bruno in certain situations, primarily in defence. I would imagine that Sandro will allow Bruno to operate further up the pitch but with the ability to pivot. I really hope this happens, can't wait to see them both control the midfield together.
  7. Never thought Tonali would sign, he seemed too integral to Milan’s future. I don’t think it’s too overstated to say it would be similar to signing Gerrard from Liverpool when he was 23. Let’s see, hope it happens.
  8. From Feb/Mar our fixture list is looking decent, perfect for the latter stages of the CL...
  9. I don't think Tonali will leave Milan, he hasn't had a stellar season by his standards, but he's a potential future Milan captain.
  10. He played more minutes than anyone else last season.
  11. Unless I missed something in that Chron article (detail from the FOI response), it doesn't state that the Forign Office was saying anything negative about the takeover. Sounds like anything which could have been pro/against takeover was redacted. The only section which could be spun as negative was: But I would guess they saw the lack of statement helpful as to not upset their Saudi allies.
  12. If we wants info from him we need to ban IMTTS. He will come back with new user name he should be banned whenever members found him out. As annoying as Penn/IMTTS is, you can't just ban him for being contrary to whatever the consensus is, that's ridiculous. If he got around a ban using a new log in, than aye kick him out. If he's constantly being a dick against the rules, then aye kick him out. In regard to Mimms, Mimms should just carry on, if what he hears is legit then he can rightly say 'i told you so'. But you can't ban someone for not believing him, that's just daft. Exactly, Penn/IMTTS/Sean get called all sorts of things for going against the grain, one of them even gets a ban for it. But the people calling them cunts don’t. This place is a year 8 playground. If you ever want your account deleted just give me a shout Don't like the forum? Don't visit it. Easy. I do like the forum, but enjoy reading other people’s differing views. Bans and name calling seems childish that’s all. Didn’t realise making that point would create so much heat. On topic, I disagree with the IMTTS perspective. As I’ve said previously I think there is a coordinated effort to discredit the original directors test so they can position a different judgment and eventually push the takeover through. This is going to take plenty of time, especially if they end up in court. The timeframes are exactly what the NCSL guys are trying to reduce with any pressure they can generate.

  14. Why do you believe this is the case? I can't see any evidence whatsoever that the Saudis are still at the table. Ashley is pursuing a restraint of trade case against the Premier League, and arbitration is a precursor he has to indulge before going to court. None of this either requires or suggests the involvement of the Saudis. The Athletic claim they are as interested as ever if you want an actual source. I must be honest - I'm extremely sceptical of the quality of Chris Waugh's sources at the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. You must have a lot more faith in local football journalists than I do. Horses for courses! Do you have faith in your own news desk?
  15. I doubt the issue of standing is as cut and dried as some are suggesting. People are making the assumption that they can’t have standing because they’re just two fans, however, one or both of them are also likely to be customers of the club. There could be an advantage in and reason for a case being brought by fans, according to the government guidance the CAT fast-track process is generally only open to individuals and small business. If the case were being brought by the club or consortium it might be less likely to be handled under the fast-track process. CAT cases can be brought by customers, the guidance gives an example of a purchaser of a product who has had to pay more for it because the manufacturer or retailer has infringed competition law. Just speculating but there are possibly ways that standing could be demonstrated in relation to any season ticket holder. We’re in a situation where the PL would rather keep an owner who has withheld refunds from season ticket holders in place than allow owners to take control who could potentially threaten the established big 6. Even if the loss demonstrated is pennies, a big compensation pay-out clearly isn’t the goal here, it’s a judgement that the PL have breached competition law in their actions. Brilliantly described. This is exactly what I believe is happening. There is a coordinated effort to establish that competition law has been breached. They know that they need to use an alternative approach to establish this quickly, which is why these two fans have been used. Once established they can move forward with the large piece of litigation.
  16. Someone might have pointed this out before but Money Mike Ashley follows only one on twitter; a PR agency called KBA (Keith Bishop Association). Under their clients they list both Newcastle United and Sports Direct: https://www.kbapr.com/clients/ In fact, a lot of the brands listed are owned by Mike Ashely (Frasers Group). Anyone, anyone at all......? I guess he ownes it...?

  19. So what you're saying is; You'll bare your arse in Fenwicks window if this goes through? A new line and capitalisation used after a semi-colon. This country has gone to shit.
