I’ve gone from being utterly non-plussed by Ashworth - he just came across as a delegator to me - to being overjoyed that he’s leaving.

Still don’t know why he’s so highly rated. My suspicion is that there are a lot of fucking stupid people in football for whom a reasonably competent administrator appears to be a magician.

    Heyyyyy youuuu guyssss

Blairite Corbynista Burnham will be on the case desperately trying to impress the masses in Manchester. I’m sure he’ll be outraged on both sides of the city divide.

    What's this drivel ???

My Teams conversations at work would get me sacked without even suspending me to investigate it.

Thankfully I’m not a snivelling little cunt like Ratworth.

Back in the Fire Service we had a saying, on our watch, "Be sly, or be slaughtered"

    Served us well

Also, in reply to anybody else addressing our watch over a problem with "What are we going to do about this, lads?"

The reply would, invariably, be "set Neidermeyer on it, he's a sneaky little shit, just like you, right"

Other then Mike Ashley, I don't think my opinion has changed on someone so drastically in Football.

One minute you're getting a lovely pint of lager bought for you in Baja, the next minute you're watching Xisco up front

  5. Like watching Dress to Impress reading this thread.

It's a football shirt ffs. Becomes a thing of beauty only by virtue of who's wearing the cunt and how successful they are in it.

  6. I genuinely don't get the disdain for Ramsdale.

Depends, of course, on the fee and NOT giving Arsenal FFP wedge but the drop off to Dubs from Pope was Cliff's of Dover scales.

Anything sub £20m and it's a no brainer unless we're aiming to go full upgrade on Pope

I’ve heard he only gets brought on as a favour from Howe in order to receive his appearance fee.

he’s in financial turmoil because apparently the lad who got hit in the bollocks with the corner flag ended up suing him, and he’s paying him off in monthly instalments. make of that what you will.

Incredible that post passed me by ?

I think it's only £10k for losing half a limb so bruised testicles isn't going to bankrupt Ritchie ?

Mind that would explain why he needed to become a lorry driver or was that to drive his family horsebox....?

Reminds me of when Lego used to do women figures, but because they were the same shape as men they’d have to paint an hourglass figure onto the torso

Some sensible stuff in there praising us and Howe too.

Yeah, further you dived in the more realistic the posts

  10. I'm not one to second guess Eddie so I'm neutral, borderline ambivalent, to decisions over the likes of Dummett and Ritchie. I will hazard a guess Bruno, Isak and Gordon ain't going anywhere, tho. Add Tonali, our 2 wonder kid full backs, the 2 Joes and a couple of upgrades to RW & CB then I'm cool with it.

I get the argument about binning them off for Academy players but they, as a team, haven't pulled any trees up this year.

True a few have fringed the bench but beyond Miley, Murphy, White and Harrison, what's there?

I loved Ben Arfa but in terms of overall ability to influence a game he was nowhere near Peter Beardsley. I know it’s a cliche but he gets criminally underrated because he wasn’t foreign and is an ugly bastard.

    And racist ? obviously

There's also some subtle stuff with VAR - like less outright diving in the box because players know it'll get picked up on. Yes there's a bit still, but probably less than there was before.

    Good point

Those two really showed something this year didn't they?

I'm blown away by them. That Hall looks the real deal. They both do.

I'm in the huffy bed on account of having a tickly cough and she's at graft tomorrow. So I puts my ear buds in to watch this. Only I realised it's a bit tinny because the rubber inserts off the buds have stayed in the docket thing.

Gets them out, replaces them on the buds, watch the video. Great

Take the buds out me spark plugs and I realise the left fucking insert has come off in me ear ?

Every time I tried to get it, it went further in ? I'm thinking ffs, I'm gonna have to wake her up. Took me ages but, finally, got the cunt out.

I'm 60 fucking years old man.

    TOON TOON

  15. Well we can't have a season of injuries like this year's, can we?

I'm buzzing for next year. Obvs hoping the indigenous Manchester team beat the cockney/Irish/Asian Manchester team in the cup.

Say we do sign Ramsdale? That means absolutely no drop off if either he or Pope is injured

Hall and Tino are fucking mint, young full backs, maybees even England's soon enough

CB is interesting Botman is class when fit, Schar, Burn and 1 or both of these freebies

    Bruno, Sandro, BigJo

    Willock, Anderson, Miley, Longstaff ?

    Olise ? Isak, Gordon

    Murphy, NEW, Barnes ?

    Lets go

  16. I'll take finishing above Manure for no other reason than that's what they'll see when they look at the table. Small beans ?

Bit like having a special video celebrating the 5-1 ??

I think unless you're Man City, Arsenal or to some degree this season's Liverpool you can look back at certain games and howl "if only" but we've done remarkably well given the way the season rolled out.

Lots to overcome and, tbf, they've done it.

    Hopefully Citeh do a number
