I'm not sure why PIF even want to sign off on players. Apart from the 35m/yr allowed loss, all the money being spent is from the club's income not the PIF piggybank. They appointed the CEO - and will appoint his successor - so just let them cook. It's like micromanaging for the sake of it (Eales, Nicks, Howe should all be trusted) but not being able to give the time needed for it.

Pedro will need to elbow his way past Jackson to get into the team. Won't be easy, they are both good at that
(Sorry if
just got in from a day of driving back from the Pacific coast)

Found this interesting from The Transfer Flow newsletter a couple of weeks ago. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder:
Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno
Don't we have an official tie-in with StatsBomb?

Can't be hearing anti-American sentiment when a bunch of Europeans on here are watching the fucking CWC like it's actual football.

In PL 9 less assists and the same amount of goals.
He's been trying to assist Hojlund, rather than Wood.

Need to lower it so clubs can’t buy players just to loan them out. Talent should be spread throughout leagues, not a disproportionate amount of registrations held by a select few clubs.
I also think that if they can't get a work permit, they shouldn't be allowed to be registered. You shouldn't be able to loan them out abroad to get around that. It's almost tantamount to actual ownership of a human, forcing them to work somewhere else.

Not only did you undermine Trippier in an authoritative sense, but you've left an image in my mind of Julian Clarey naked on all fours literally being done doggy style.
Please stop. I've now got Nigel Lamont in my mind.

Did Marcelino exist or was that just a tax write off

Maybe he can conscientiously object, like Marcelino did against us.

I can't even remember a single bit of noteworthy communication from Charnley and Llambias.
If he'd said Chris Mort, I wouldn't have disagreed about that. Maybe I didn't look too closely, but I liked him from afar.

A venue, not a pub, but the Fire Station looks nice and Brandy Clark is playing there for the second time in 2-3 years.

Did he sign Le Fee and flog him to Sunderland 5 months later?
On 22 May 2024, Ghisolfi signed with Serie A side Roma as their new sporting director
On 10 July 2024, Le Fée signed for Serie A club Roma on a 5-year contract worth €23 million
Maybe it was agreed beforehand and there's an interview with him saying their transfer strategy wasn't fit for purpose...

Wasn't a Newcastle fan until the takeover, and yet here he is meeting his boyhood hero Alan Shearer in 2019, years before the takeover
BBC Introducing NE played some clips yesterday including an interview on BBC Breakfast the day after the takeover, and he was saying he was massively hung over as he and Johnny went down to the ground (where Johnny got his sax out on the statue) and someone gave him a load of CANS. He must have turned into a super fan quick.
Edit: this was the interview they played:

Are they actually going to get kicked out?
The Guardian article (which someone here described as click bait
) described how the blind trusts have to be in place by end of March and Testor didn't do that. ManC and ManU met those requirements.

Some sensible reasons and others just because they are corruption friends. Other winners of the MLS Supports Shield get the Nelson Muntz response when they don't also win the playoffs (MLS Cup) who are the declared champions, but FIFA declare Inter Miami are the MLS winners for the purposes of this shit fest. I wonder why.

Maybe I'm being delusional, but maybe we are forcing other clubs' hands to clear the way for our real targets (won't stop Todd from stock piling though). Eddie said that CL qualification over EL didn't particularly matter.

You’re right but it’s absolutely galling watching them cherry pick some elite talent without a care in the world whilst openly cooking the books as an established “top 6” team.
Fuck modern football.
They aren't even cooking the books this summer (yet). Fifa are giving them a huge wedge for a win four years ago. Same for Inter Miami who won....nothing.
