My hometown which is “Sunderland territory” has the high crown at the top with its NUFC windows, the lambton arms in the middle with a big painted NUFC crest and the market tavern with NUFC flags/bunting all over the pub.

Even back in the late 80s, it was only the lads from Shiney Row who were Sunderland fans. Park View Comprehensive had a massive catchment area.

For US-based Mags, just in case you're not aware, this is now on US Prime as well, first two episodes are up. Hoying it on now

Edit - fuck. They're not. They show like they are but when you click on them it says "This video is currently unavailable". False alarm. Sorry

That the trailer is now up (yesterday nothing was being found at all) should be a good sign. Loved the trailer!

exciting! Big fan of Les Mis.

Six degrees, Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews. Met her at a book signing at Costco in Seattle. She said she played the Theater Royal when she was a kid.

Will ASM be remembered the same way the likes of Ginola and Laurent Robert are

Or more the the way of Scott Sellars and Ruel Fox ?‍♂️

Sellars was my favorite player 93-94, though who can forget this the season before after being here about a month:

In some respects, it's a shame Maxi never had the chance.

Not really related, but Talksport so... Dean Saunders sounds alot like that impressionist doing Steve Bruce. First time I heard him it was about 1am UK time and they took about 40 minutes to say who was presenting, and so I seriously thought it was a comedy hour :)

  6. He's a kid who stayed at home to play with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. I can't fault living the dream and then knowing to get out when it turns out the bright lights were hiding the reality. Could be real growth from him here on out.

I'm being thick but where is the link

    Web capture_9-7-2023_125951_twitter.com.jpeg

If this is the website, click the thing underneath the tweet (to the right, next to the view count) that looks like a tray with an up arrow and then select Copy Link. If it's the app, click the usual share icon (3 circles connected by two lines) and it's in there.

Just like Tino's luggage breaking open on the flight (old Fantasy Football joke).

Bit harsh on Carlos. Snapped his Achilles in his home debut. Out pretty much the entire season.

No disparaging his likely quality, but if we had signed Carlos (and so maybe not Botman) and he'd snapped it here, we'd have moved Burn to CB and with Targett out, Dummet would have been rocking up some of the season until an early injury saw Richie (maybe Manq) there. I don't think we'd have finished near fourth.

Looks like it may have somehow fallen through due to personal terms, fuck knows what he was asking for [emoji38]

Maybe he asked for too little, and the whole thing is some Brewster's Millions farce.

Think if he’d waited he’d have had better opportunities. Now it might take a while to get out of West Ham

He waited until the last week of August. Maybe no one else was interested.
