Miley behind Bruno and Willock could be interesting, Miley is incredibly good at retaining possession under pressure, let alone for a 17 year old, he can always receive the pass from defence and can play it forward. Not sure about him off the ball though.

Miley, just needs some time. 17 and done so well. But he's not in the same league as Willock, yet.

Give him a season on the bench and let him find his true position and style. I agree eventually a holding DM might be his place once he fills out.

Tbf it’s a small team out there.  This was a game for a back 5 and Dan Burn.

You should attack the ball, not jump with your eyes closed. One or to are playing half arsed recently. It's not up to standards that were set.

Longstaff wanders round like he's Zidane. He's shite and Ive defended him for 2 seasons.

Murphy pulled out of tackles last week at home also - he should be attacking that ball! No excuse.

Entertaining again, but another disappointing result. We look like a bunch of school kids, suddenly seems to be no organisation or plan whatsoever.

This! All over the fucking shop lately.

I'm not sure he did much wrong today for all Dan Burns issues. Tino got the wrong side at the end also.

It happens, it is a fine strike and weak GK'ing.

    Highlight - Miley & Gordon.

  5. Pacey Young Right Central Defender

    Athletic Intelligent Ball Winning Midfielder

Right Winger who can use both feet, with a little guile would be nice.

A Forward who scores goals and is fit more than 1/3 games.

Pacey Left Back (Hall? I'm not sure)

A backup/No 1 GK who reads the game, is commanding and can kick a football to the above People.

    Eventually you'd have:

    GK/Pope

    Trippier / Tino

    Schar / Pacey Guy

    Botman

    Tino / Hall

Athletic Ball winning MF / Tonali

    Bruno / Anderson

    Big Jo / Little Jo

    Gordon / Barnes

    Right Winger / Gordon

Isak / Fit Forward / Young Forward

Sell Miggy, Wilson, Lasecelles, Dubs, all the old boys.

  6. Some fucking short memories on here like, the shit BDB is getting is way overboard.

He should have been subbed earlier last week, as the mismatch-up was clear from minute one due to pace, otherwise he's hardly stank the season out. He's been decent and critical in some big wins.

Fickle fucking fans strike again. I'll trust Howe to make the call, but if's he up against Carl Lewis he needs to switch it out earlier, rather than watch him struggle.

It’s clear that our midfield isn’t functioning and teams are taking advantage of the space in behind our midfield and the left back area. I know we joke about Schar playing midfield, but maybe it’s time to try him screening the base of the midfield. To then free Miley and Bruno to push forward, press and create chances. Something like this:

                               Dubravka

    Trippier.  Lascelles.  Botman. Livramento

                                 Schar

                     Bruno.            Miley

    Gordon.               Isak.             Barnes

Technically Schar would be superb there but he's probably slower than Bruno on the turn. And I'm not sure Howe wants any of our '3' to sit and protect in the old-fashioned sense.

I remember reading about Howe, when we signed Tonali and how he sees the team as a fluid entity.
