  1. So if everything goes through Ashley, you can see why everything is taking so long as that fat slimy prick does everything at a snails pace. This is going one of 2 ways now, he’s either dragging them along knowing it’s not going to pass and he gets to pocket £17m(But £17m is a drop at what he’s going to lose in the current PL climate) or he’s just doing his normal everything at his pace has all the right signs and will get round to them when he gets round to them. I can’t see a multi billion company like PCP and PIF just sitting round taking his word for everything TBH

  2. PIF can’t walk away, Ashley can’t pull out. The only thing that can happen is they fail the O&D test.

PIF can walk away they’d just lose their deposit.

They’ve signed contracts. If they walked away they’d be dragged through the courts or stung by massive penalty clauses that dwarf their deposit.

No one is pulling out of this deal. The PL are the only people who can stop it.

Without knowing the specifics of the deal your speculating, what we do know is there’s a 17 milllion non refundable deposit.

If the Premier League put off the decision indefinitely it becomes unchartered waters, you can’t say for certain they won’t walk away.

The PL can’t just put it off indefinitely without having a reason and giving those reasons to both party’s, which would then end up in court most likely

  3. Yet another week with absolutely no answers. Soon PL bosses will head out to summer holidays (or maybe have already after this weeks meeting) and we will still be asking same questions late-August. Lovely.

PL bosses won’t finish for the summer until this season has finished, and I’m sure the new owners would get the lawyers in if the PL said “ it’s holidays now will will see you in 5 weeks with an answer”

  4. Why would we not extend the contract of decent performers ffs.

Do you think the Saudis are going to come in and buy an entire squad in week 1?

    Yes.

Not going to happen, even though ffp has be relaxed it still applies, if the Saudis do come in I think they will make 5 top class additions to go with what we have.

2 of those 5 signings should be a left and right full back.

Not going to disagree there, I think LB,RB,ACM and 2CF is what we should be looking at

  5. Big 747 belonging to Saudi Holding Company took off from Riyadh, currently heading towards UK according to a mate of mine.

    HZWBT7

Looking like Germany as the destination

  6. Not sure the PL would have requested that response as it’s just refuting all claims, not really saying they’ll make changes.

Anyway, it’s just PR and politics that. Prob nowt to do with the takeover.

TBH I really think it was, as one of the major complaints by BT sport, sky, BBC and bein was that they couldn’t get justice in the Saudi courts, they now have put it in black and white by a government agency how anyone can now do that.

  7. For all they’ve turned serie a off, the difference is that a Saudi tv channel has already purchased the right for serie a next season.

There is no way they would just turn off the premier league for the remainder of their deal, as a company they are already struggling and people would simply cancel their subscriptions.

My only concern is that if the premier league continue to dither pif will walk away. These letters issued by Saudi authorities yesterday are clearly aimed at breaking the deadlock. I can’t see them hanging on forever if the premier league continues to indulge bein and allow them to put a new obstacle in the way every week.

The premier league’s time to approve is now, they’ve got their concessions from Saudi Arabia and can come out of this looking like they’ve got a win. If they continue to delay now It can only be concluded that they are hoping pif will walk, and save the spineless cnuts from making the decision.

    PIF won’t walk.

    They’ll not wait forever either.

Edwards trying to wind fans up and he fulfills his purpose as to why as you're clearly demonstrating. Ignore him man the c*** hasn't got a clue.

I’m not basing my thoughts on edwards, I thought this after reading times report yesterday. They even quoted a source from pif saying they wouldn’t wait indefinitely.

I do believe this is the pif trying to speed the premier leagues decision up, however if you think logically what more can the pif do now after the govt announced crackdown on piracy.

There is literally nothing else the pif can do now to ease piracy concerns, they’ve done all the can.

I’m still confident it’s happening but if it goes past end of next week with no decision, I’ll be getting concerned at premier leagues motives.

They will go to the government before they would consider walking away and the government would push it through, TBH if the PL haven’t cleared it by next week they are taking the p*ss and I could see the PIF dragging them through the courts

I agree end of next week, then patience will start to wear thin.

Let’s just hope these are the concessions the premier league asked for, and they’ve now delivered.

The Saudis wouldn’t have done it off there own backs, these would have been the stipulations by the PL to pass the deal

I can see the PIF putting pressure on the PL if it’s not cleared this week, they will be saying “we have done our part, make your decision or talk to our lawyers”

  10. BeIN spitting their dummy out and stamping their feet isn't going to endear them to the PL I'd imagine. There's only 80 fixtures left this season before it all starts again. If that's their play obviously.

TBH if it had anything to do with us they would have blacked out the PL as a threat this weekend, before our deal was likely to go, it’s no use to them after the PL has cleared our deal.

  11. Is there any reason why I can’t make a thread?

Thread creation is for local people; there's nothing for new members here.

Ahh right so I need to be around longer to make a thread?

Any chance someone can make a thread of a realistic starting 11 the first game of next season?
