    Maxi and Miggy both have to cut back to cross on their strong foot.

     

    I remember Maxi crossing for Wilson from the right last season to set up goals.

     

    And I'm sure Miggy must be able to get one good cross in from the left!

    To be fair under Howe we play with more possession and typically work harder then the opposition.

     

    However if you look closer at the players, we are not a squad full of natural goal scorers outside of Wilson and hopefully Isak.

     

    So we have to hope for pens, free kicks or balls bouncing in of players knees.

     

    Fingers crossed we get a bit of luck on injuries before the winter transfer window can kick us on.

    The whole wing play frustrates me and I can't understand why we don't swap him, Fraser or even Maxi mid game when things are going wrong.

     

    Surely the likes of Wood and Isak would have more chances created if Miggy just had to concentrate on running and crossing with his left foot?

    I mentioned that one to my two sons on Saturday after Isak's missed chance.

     

    Every new striker has a John Dahl moment when they break from half way.

    Andreas Anderson fluffed his.

    Bellamy missed a few but got better.

    Miggy missed a few and never made those runs again.

    As the old saying goes... buy cheap, buy twice.

    I personally believe we could have went out and bought the likes of Dennis, Carlos, Sarr and other similar players this window but long term they would all need to be replaced again for where we want to be the following seasons.

     

    Yeah they would strengthen this years squad but if you can hold your nerve and snap up the next level player before the window slams shut you will actually end up saving money long term.

     

    I'm still pressing the refresh button in hope every 10 mins mind!
