Brings back memories for me, had to watch the 6-1 against Barnsley with one eye closed, on way back from stag in vegas
There’s a few away ends I’ve been in where my own eyes have delivered a not too dissimilar picture quality.

It’s a great theory, but why wouldn’t clubs just inflate their prices?
Let’s be honest, it probably has been brought forward to facilitate some spending and support with cash flow while sponsorship and commercial is given some TLC.

Does someone want to tell Benfica it’s only a friendly? I think we turned up expecting a warm weather kick about and they’re charging around like it’s a Champions League game.

Fucking hell Miggy, great finish

Without clicking on the link it just looks like some good ol' fashioned Disney family racism.
Explains why we’ve replaced Local Hero with Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.

This is what I say to myself in my head when I order a takeaway the day after a heavy sesh.

As much as RW is a problem area I think Fraser and, to a lesser extent, Almiron are perfectly serviceable options over the season.
Up front we have Wilson and Wood. Injuries to one or both of those and our season is stuffed. Isak wasn’t particularly prolific last season, but he’d give us another dimension up front and would be a massive statement signing.
-
Isak is pretty near the top of my fantasy signings list, so I think I’d rip it off if we actually got him.

Tickets have been put on sale quite far in advance for these friendlies really. In summer especially people with kids will not know what they're doing until last minute. A lot of people will buy tickets in the last week before or on the day.
This is basically situation I’m in. Going to go to at least one of the games, but not sure whether I’ll take my young’un or not.

Absolutely makes sense to box clever now when it comes to fees and give ourselves greater headroom in the coming years. It’s also really important that we sent a precedent to avoid having our eyes taken out every time we try to sign someone. It might mean some long, hard negotiations over a couple of windows (e.g. Botman) but I trust the club to get it right.
I’m confident we’ll sign a winger and a striker before the close of the window. The market will move over the next few weeks. We’re well placed to take advantage of that now.

If we were thinking a central midfielder this summer though, then next summer sign Paqueta to play in front of Bruno and the new CM next season, it's not impossible to think we might push that one forward by 12 months if we thought there was a risk he'd leave for someone like Arsenal this year.
It's exactly what Man U did with Rooney for example. Sir Alex said himself he was happy with the strikers he had and wanted to add Rooney to it the following year but once we bid, they had to push it forward.
We might but ultimately that’s all hypothetical. People on here appear to be convinced we’re actively pursuing him.
Personally I think we’ve decided Diaby is the marquee signing we want.
-
I don’t think we’ve much if any interest in him at all. He can’t play in any of the roles we’re actively looking to fill.
It’s all wishful thinking.

Just catching up on the Bilbao stuff. They’re like that school kid no one likes who just attaches themselves to a group and won’t fuck off. Do the Bilbao fans have any say in whether they want to be mates with these mouth breathers?
The desperation with which they try and shoehorn their club into the history of another - despite the very well known, well documented story about how the kits etc came about - is just the most pathetic thing going. It makes me feel a bit sorry for them. Grasping for any sort of relevance in lieu of having a football team that isn’t dogshit.

It is hilarious how they now trawl the internet every day in a desperate search for kindred spirits who may think in a similar manner to them when it comes to NUFC. This is their football-supporting life now, utterly consumed by rage and envy of their neighbours. Thoroughly heartwarming.
It’s always been the case though. They’ve always utterly obsessed over other clubs, other fans hating us and loving them. It’s went into overdrive now because of the Saudi stuff.

If it’s logistically possible it’s a no brainer.

Give it a month and he’ll be in an NUFC shirt.

Same again on Thursday for memberships lads?

Got through eventually and chased that single remaining seat around the family area for a bit before I realised I was wasting my time.
