Saw this today: Southampton’s French full-back Romain Perraud has spoken to L’Equipe about Wilson ahead of today’s match. The 25-year-old has warned his compatriots to be aware of Callum’s qualities. Sport Witness has published the following from Perraud: “He has a completely different profile from the other English strikers. “He’s a real threat to defences because he’s very strong in duels, with the ability to keep the ball with his back to the game. “In a way, he is the classic English striker, with a strong physical dimension in his game. In an unrelated note, I watched the games yesterday from DVR last night as I was out all day and those were two mind blowing games. I hope England and France don't go to penalties.

The idea is if he gets a work permit he can be loaned out in England but if not to the continent he goes. It would be nice if he could play in England right from the start.
