Would've been an 8.5 or potentially a 9 but for Botmans injury highlighting how necessary a new CB actually was. Went for 8 in the end as I think we've got 2 top tier signings in and arguably 2 who could end up being top tier.

Risky not bringing another CB in and that was clearly what they had planned to do at the start of the summer. The recent episode on Prime shows the "depth team sheet" with Schar and Lascelles at RCB with a question mark under them, suggesting another signing was needed in that position. For whatever reason we just haven't been able to do it this summer.

Got to assume we'll hear from Howe about Botman this morning. Seems like his injury isn't too bad else we'd probably be seeing alot of rumours about a CB coming in today.

Botman out Forever

Most disappointing thing about this game has been the fact you can't really tell Liverpool have had 10 men.

I think that's kind on Botman, he messed up. Should've done better.

There's the kick in the teeth that's been coming for the last 20 minutes.

Come 15:30 we could see a Liverpool line up without Salah and Konate. It would certainly be better for my nerves not seeing those two in their team before KO. However as we learnt with Man City, regardless of who is missing its still going to be a hugely difficult game. Ofcourse Liverpool don't have the same depth as City but a front three of Jota, Nunez and Diaz would still be exceptionally good. Konate would be the bigger miss for them, his recovery pace is so key to how they defend.
