6/10 odds on Liverpool winning on monday. So easy money for those of you that are so sure that Liverpool will win the rest of their games.

Agree to disagree then. Wouldn't say no to a top class reliable winger, but they dont come cheap and I think we should prioritize other positions this summer.

Do we really need another winger? We already got ASM, Gordon, Almiron and Murphy who are pure wingers. On top of that we got Joelinton, Willock and Isak who can fill in when needed. There is a lot of other positions we should prioritize. Left back we only have Burn who is playing out of position and has been looking shaky lately and Targett who clearly hasn't shown enough to Howe that he should play, when he did it looked bad tbh. Centre back we need a young talent who can fill in and eventually replace Schär over time. Same with right back and Trippier. I know we got Ashby, but perhaps aim a little higher than someone who has played 1 premier league game in his career. Centre midfield we only have 4 players to fill in 3 positions. Need atleast a couple in here.

We haven’t scored a non-penalty in 2 games now, and we certainly dont look solid at the back currently. Still think we got this though, but can understand people losing their mind a little bit.

A little bit worried about the way we played today. To get some peace of mind I’ve decided I’m going to bet a significant amount on combinations of Liverpool wins and Newcastle draws/losses for the remainder of the season. Atleast I’ll be a richer man if we dont make it. The bookies still have us at around 85% chance to make it, certainly doesn’t feel like that after todays game.

If he gets 2+ semi-serious injuries next year i’m fully on board of letting him go.

He got into more threatening positions in 25min then most of our other attacking players did during the game. Just need to sharpen up on his end product.

Draw against Brighton and Chelsea and a solid win against Leicester then Liverpool needs to win every match with around 3 goals on average to catch us.

He was awesome first half of the season. Been pretty poor in the second half tbh. I wonder how many of those chances are from corners/free kicks and how many total attemps he has had from these.

I'm not a sport physician so I have no idea what causes certain type of injuries. In general we haven't had that many injuries so it doesn't seem obvious to me that our playstyle makes us so vulnerable to them. And we have been playing with an intense playstyle ever since Howe came, it's not something he started with at the beginning of this season. Not going to deny that I'm attached to the idea of keeping one of our best and most exciting players

I just gave you the cold hard facts about him not being more injured under Howe than before him. I see no reason whatsoever that it wouldn`t be a coincident that he got injured in the 4th game of the season after the summer break. Why on earth would it have anything to do with this being his first full season under Howe. That makes no sense.

Yeah guess I should`nt be that optimistic based on previous history.

3 games in 9 days now so I dont mind if we rest either Isak or Wilson for this. Maybe ASM could be ready for a start, he looked good against Arsenal I thought.
