Think we can forget about Szoboszlai.. Would love it, but don't see them letting him go.

Don't think we are struggling that badly to attract players. Sure a lot of (most) players would rather prefer City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, but other than that we are a highly attractive place to go to. Don't think Wissa f.ex expects to start every game.

It's not going to happen if we keep Isak, we can agree on that. But if we sell him and get a lot of room to upgrade the team that is the place I would start. I dont want to replace Joelinton, but I do want an alternative to him. He is irreplaceable in certain type of games, but goes missing in others. Has been racking up quite a few injuries lately aswell. We need to stop focusing on the best first XI anyways. It's not going to be set in stone with the amount of games we are going to have.

£140m is a whole lot of money though, probably only Newcastle fans who would think we got scammed on that. Have to take the "official" asking price with a grain of salt. Just look at Chelsea and their £80m asking price on Jackson. Won't say you are wrong though. It's a complicated situation with no easy answers imo.

Dont think of it as £35m, think of it as Kelly + £15m. And since Kelly came free, just think of it as £15m. Sure we might overpay a little (or a lot) and it's hard to understand why we left it so late. But it is what it is and in our current position he is probably well worth the price.

Yeah we should have some money to spare this summer. Especially with the £15m pure profit from Longstaff or whatever it was. Won't be able to spend a decent chunk of money on a CB and a CM without a Isak sale though.

I don't know. Eddie also said it wasn't any cause for diciplinary actions. If it's Newcastle's position that either he signs a new contract or we have to let him go, I can see him being left out of the team until things becomes more clear.

Honestly its not that clear to me what has happened. Might have just been that he has refused a new contract and said that he wants to go to Liverpool and that it's been Eddies decision to leave him out of the team until he changes his mind.

I like this tactic, just reach out to all the clubs enquiering about their realistic asking price. Don't have time to go after one player at the time.
