Don't know about a Ramos type signing. Whats the long term plan for him? Never going to be good enough to be our main striker by a (shallow) look at him.

He is nearly 29 years old and it might be his last chance of getting CL. Can have a little more understanding of why he reacted that way when they also promised him that he could leave this summer. But probably just me looking at it through through our perspective:)

Think they would let him go for a few extra millions. He isn't going to play for them anyways. Not really in the same position as us since they are going to have a much larger pool of players they could go after. And they won't be held to ransom because of being full of cash like we would.
